Keroro Gunsou episode 68

SPOILER Summary/Synopsis: Natsumi, Fuyuki, Aki-san, and Keroro are watching a program where a dumpy house is turned into a modern house. Natsumi remarks on how she would love for their home to get remodeled, which Aki-san basically shoots down. However, Keroro decides to put his renown remodeling skills to work. So one afternoon as Natsumi and Fuyuki are coming home, they are joined by Mutsumi, who’d been invited by Kururu to check out the remodeling. This news comes as a surprise to the brother and sister who knew nothing about it. They enter their home where they in fact discover the inside has been changed, to include a lengthy stone stairway that curves out to a great distance. However, it turns out to be a false scene designed to keep those who shouldn’t be there out.

Entering the home through a secret entrance, they discover that their living room has been expanded to a massive size capable of holding 10,000 people. Kururu gives a rapid, lengthy, and cut off explanation to explain this (Dilak’s Ocean). Keroro gives them a tour with Moa where they see Natsumi’s perfect bedroom, Fuyuki’s perfect bedroom, a kitchen studio with space food, and lots more. Keroro is distressed to learn that Natsumi doesn’t like the changes, but ends up conceding when the massive size of the place prevents him from watching Admiral Geroro.

A mysterious dog with different colored eyes named Zeroyasha arrives in town and is revealed to be very powerful, so Dororo leaves Koyuki to face the dog. After Keroro, Tamama, and Giroro talk about it, they realize they’ve all encountered the dog and it always helps people. Keroro decides the dog needs to be one of the team. Keroro dresses like a school boy and cries in the street about his lost Gundam, the toy a short distance behind him. Giroro and Tamama wonder if this plan will actually work, but it does.

Keroro removes his disguise and reveals his true intent to have the dog work for them. Tamama and Giroro emerge and try to nabe the dog. Giroro’s Gatling gun fires a gum-like substance to try to trap the dog, but the dog is too quick. The dog then grabs the Gunpla and gives it to Keroro. He’s touched by this to the shock of Tamama and Giroro but then Tamama points out that Keroro has been had. The dog still has the Gunpla and only gave Keroro a stick with a shield. However, the trio are trapped in the gum substance that Giroro fired all over. Dororo arrives and challenges the dog with a ball. The “battle” impresses everyone. However, it turns out that the Zeroyasha is a ninja dog from Koyuki’s village. The dog saved Dororo and helped in his training. Koyuki reveals that Dororo’s and Zeroyasha’s “battles” can go for days, meaning that the other three Kerons could be trapped for a week.

Thoughts/Review: The first story didn’t do all that much for me. The only amusing thing that stuck out in my mind was Kururu attempting to give his explanation as to how he made the inside of the house bigger than the outside. I was hoping that “Doctor Who” would get mentioned but oh well. That show may not be followed in Japan like some other western (including British) shows. I did like the Space Battleship Yamato reference (Admiral Geroro) now that I’ve seen several episodes of that anime. ^_^

For the second show, I was hoping for an Inuyasha parody (since the dog’s name is Zeroyasha) but alas, no such luck. Still, there were laughs at how Zeroyasha pawned Keroro and company, especially with the taking of the Gunpla.
