Karin pushing Touta aside? Hmmm, that’s interesting.

Nagumo on the fast draw.

UQ Holder Chapter 26 SPOILER Images

Yeah, well for those of you thinking this arc was over, guess again.  But, I’m always happy to see Karin awesomeness. ^_^

UQ Holder Chapter 26 SPOILER Images

But, I guess the Karin awesomeness doesn’t last long. 🙁 Bummer on that.

I am curious as to why Karin would push the idiot out of the way to take on whatever attack Nagumo was planning. Since Touta was supposed to be out of gas for the most part last chapter, that could be the reason. But if Karin’s out of the fight, then what?

I have to see what Hata reports as well.

Well, naught to do but wait for the chapter to come out.  I’d like to express my continued thanks to Southrop for sharing these awesome images. As usual, he has some notes for those interested. ^_^

    I would count it as some form of Karin awesomeness that she needs to be relocated to the Moon to keep her away though ^^;

And FINALLY Nagumo’s doing more than just explaining Touta’s powers (without saying actually anything =__=;) His sword drawing technique seems really cool^^

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

Yeah, I guess after seeing the Chao dude in action and Kaito in action, it is time for Nagumo to get some spotlight. ^_^

  2. Dargor says:

Well, at least he’s doing something. I’m just happy we’re getting to see a swordsmen who’s not apart of the Shinmei school for once.

Still, I stopped caring about Karin awhile ago after we got some info about her. For some reason, making her around Eva’s age left me cold to her as a character.

That made her a bit more interesting to me. Still, it goes to show how folks see the same things differently.

    Hmmm…

1- Was the little drone from UQH? From the Cyber Immortal, maybe? I mean, Nagumo seemed surprised…

2- Was that a gate behind Nagumo? First thing I remembered was Terminator lol

3- Thx once again for your work.

That’s what I wondered as well. Of course, it could be their client checking on Powerful Hand’s progress.

2- Was that a gate behind Nagumo? First thing I remembered was Terminator lol

      I believe that was Karin being forced to exit the stage. ^_^;;;

3- Thx once again for your work.

The real thanks go to Southrope for graciously sharing these. ^_^ Thank you for continuing to stop by and comment. ^_^

    • Southrop says:

      1. It’s from Nagumo’s employer.
      2. It’s the result of what appears to be a forced relocation spell.
      3. You’re welcome

  4. LoneWolfx03 -]===- says:

I’m guessing Kuromaru will be next beating Nagumo. Just give this guy/girl a chance. Touta already beat up wolf-man Kaito and Karin won against the pervert Chao. Why not Kuromaru? We might see his/her bird-clan powers. (‘0’ )

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

I rather doubt it, but I could be wrong. Kuroumaru is still fleeing the scene with the kid(s). Based on patterns to date, I figure the battered Touta will now produce some new ability to overcome and beat Nagumo.

      • Seimei says:

But is not true! You express facts Astro- san? It is not even on that will combatre Nagumo you spell we already ” according to the models we have donated to date Tota has a power-up and fight Nagumo .” then:
Pparler of “model” is misleading , we Some 26 chapter and esy the first real battle of the manga, I repeat the first real battle! not the 30th or even the 20th, the first ! You expected to see the hero be a dobe and be rattatiner from the first boss ? Even Negi took his time ” I’m a hero ” in Kyoto, he managed to surprise Chigusa with his magic and he asks Fate by surprise (although it does not yet practiced kung fu, was still a pure mage, not a magic knight !)

For me it will kuromaru (or another member of Holder, because I remember that fireworks were to kuromaru abuts ask for reinforcements.) Against Nagumo, as beings both swordsmen would be logical. Is setsuna who faced all swordsmen after all, kuro will surely like this.

Otherwise I trensmet certanes theories of my colleague ” kiba ” the French forum ” akamatsu -world ” besides, I ‘ve always struggled to understand the criticism that hit UQ -holder in the U.S., while here in France we overall very pleased with how the manga yet (eg on our forum was almost jumping with joy even as Tota had magia – erebea , whereas here it caused outrage .. It’s weird . Brief here are the theories of ” kiba ” :

” I see delirium with Karin through the atmosphere as x ), but in the current situation it would not serve much precisely because if Akamatsu decided to set aside what is probably because it has the the most cheated immortality.

” For now I say like you, then raised using a vessel and a ride on a lunar base or a space station or something like that.

After the other hand it can give a reason for members of UQ Holder to use the orbital elevator in the next arc. ”

I find very boring. Next arc in the space ? It could be that property akamatsu-sensei knows exactly where he wants to go. Contrairements think that some people here probably recognize qi. (I speak not of you Astro ^ ^)

In any case in France, on the forums of fans (“the akamatsu-world” especially) we fully trust Sensei and was fully supports!^^

ps: And yes, I agree with those who have said, it feels goods or another school of kenjutsu that shinmei-ryu !^^

        • Seimei says:

oops ! I wanted to write “talk about model”, sorry for the BIG lack of translation ^ ^

Different ways of looking at things, I guess.

While not quite in the same vein, I’ve been dismayed that in the U.S., few people are interested in reading the Hayate the Combat Butler manga, even among those who liked the first couple of anime series. I didn’t start reading the manga until I’d watched the first anime series, then after that, I could never watch the first anime again, simply because the manga’s flow and story was so much superior (similar to how I am with Love Hina). But most folks who liked the anime had no interest in reading the manga.

Result? Viz is contractually bound to continue releasing the manga, but because to few buy it, they only put out two volumes a year, putting the U.S. further and further behind Japan, where the manga series is hugely popular, so much so that Hata-sensei’s earlier work, Lifesavers (which is now officially linked to Hayate the Combat Butler) was re-released in Japan with a new cover.

I have no idea why this really good manga is passed over by American manga readers. It bums me out because I want my manga shelves to be close to current with Japan’s releases.

  5. Finally , We get back to action after that Arm-wrestling chapter , I do not get why Akamatsu-sensei didn`t went for this route instead , But yeah , It would seem Chapter 26 is going to be a kick-ass chapter.

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

If Hata is right, it is to set up Kaito joining UQ Holder.

      • Seems interesting , It`s kinda like Kotarou joining Ala-Alba , But yes , I wonder who is the person that Nagumo was talking to , Cause from what i`ve understand is that the caller knows something about ” Magia Erebea “

        • AstroNerdBoy says:

Seems interesting , It`s kinda like Kotarou joining Ala-Alba

Yeah, I think that’s the thought behind the theory.

But yes , I wonder who is the person that Nagumo was talking to , Cause from what i`ve understand is that the caller knows something about ” Magia Erebea “

I figure it was their client.

  6. Nullapostle says:

The arm-wrestling match was basicalle male bonding, and now we return to serious action.
I sincerely wouldn’t mind this arc being over soon, VERY soon – the arc basically exhausted itself a few chapters ago and now it’s about as interesting as the daily growth of grass.

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

Somehow, I think we’ll see a fight between Nagumo and Touta, then the Chao dude showing back up to say, “I’m not dead yet.”

  7. WMC says:

    SeeSeeeBoring

  8. ultimaniac says:

Akamatsu-sensei continues to re-use ideas and tropes. Nagumo’s sword draw is basically Jetstream Sam’s trigger activated sword draw. I used to not care when he copied things but after his final boss gimmick was the same final boss gimmick used in countless stories before, I can’t help but facepalm every time now.

You’ve probably never played the game before so just look at a quick 5 seconds of this video.

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

*lol* Well, it still doesn’t bother me, but I guess Akamatsu-sensei was playing Metal Gear Rising, gore, missing arms, and all.

    • Makky☆Smile says:

There’s no visible trigger mechanism involved and it’s electromagnetic in nature so it’s more likely inspired by Soukou Akki Muramasa (http://vndb.org/v2016) instead.

      • AstroNerdBoy says:

I’ll have to remember to check that out when I get home.

      • ultimaniac says:

“There’s no visible trigger mechanism involved and it’s electromagnetic”

I know. I was talking about the idea of firing your sword out of the sheath at a high velocity then catching it for a super slash. But now looking at the date of that VN, If a character there does the same technique then it’s possible that Metal Gear adapted it from that. I’m sure somebody from Kojima Productions or Platinum Games might have read it.

        • Makky☆Smile says:

Ah, for the general idea of enhancing battoujutsu draw speed with mechanical or magical propulsion, the furthest back I remember would be the Michael swords from the Ga-Rei/Ga-Rei Zero. IIRC they were gas-powered. I wouldn’t be surprised of existing older examples though. The idea is only as much of a step-up as adding rocket thrusters on a hammer anyway (except probably more likely to rip your arm off).
