Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 133

SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

As the giant Lusso giggles over stomping Minerva, Minerva reveals herself to be inside Lusso’s giant body. As such, she destroys the body from within, causing the real Lusso to re-emerge. Lusso then binds them in chain before turning them into small furries. Minerva becomes a dog, as does Jellal. Erza becomes a cat. They flee, unable to use magic, as Lusso attempts to shoot them with a bow.

Back at Gold Owl, Duke continues to explain how wizards will make Athena’s dream of becoming human a reality. Durning the conversation, Serena reveals he too is a puppet, made from the corpse of the real Serena. With that, Duke starts draining Sting’s and Wendy’s dragon magic.

Elsewhere, Athena reveals that during her rebellious time, she’d planned to recruit Sting. She then acknowledges Natsu before using the White Out magic that Faris had used. Both dragon slayers go down. Lucy grabs Yukino and flees.

Thoughts/Review:

Everything in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 133 is about making all of our heroes powerless. Well, Gray is an exception in his group as well as Lucy and Yukino. So I suspect that they are the angles out for the downed, dragon slayer wizards. Lucy and Yukino will use Celestial Spirit magic to win the day. And we know Gray can be OP when he wants.

However, I can’t see the out for Minerva, Erza, and Jellal. Well, I can’t see a way for them to get themselves out. After all, they have no magic and are in furry form. Also, Duke and Athena claimed they were really after dragon magic. But there are no dragon wizards in Erza’s team. So the only way out I can see is for there to be an unexpected interruption. Otherwise, Lusso and Eni should stop playing and kill their enemies.

The item of interest is learning that “god” Serena was in fact dead all along. So we didn’t get a retcon to bring him back. Instead, alchemy transmuted a dead body into a puppet (but alive) body. Kinda freaky. Technically, this should make him undead, but I guess because alchemy was used instead of necromancy, he only becomes a puppet.

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

In the end, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 133 is an interesting chapter where pretty much all of our heroes are down and out.
