Bet you think this awesome Japanese commercial is about baseball. You’d be wrong about the baseball part.
When I lived in Japan, many Japanese commercials were often very entertaining, either because they were whacky in a funny sort of way, whacky in a silly sort of way, or just incredibly creative. One didn’t have to wait until an event like the Super Bowl in the U.S. in order to see such commercials.
Take this commercial. Granted, clocking in at 2:31, it isn’t some kind of standard TV commercial. That being said, it is making the rounds and I thought I’d share as well.
Seriously, all this stuff about people of all ages just spontaneously breaking out into a game of baseball in the streets of Japan is just awesome. That’s a Japanese commercial for ya. ^_^
According to Matthew Rowles, “this was filmed in the Kokura Station sector of Garden Paradise Kitakyushu.”Β I’ll take his word for it. I don’t know the background music, but if you do, be sure to make a mention in the comments.
Hat tip to Jrock Radio for initially bringing this to my attention. ^_^
Best commercial ever!
Damn, the guys who came up with this deserve a medal.
I agree.
Great stuff. All the girls have PERFECT baseball moves! Could I be introduced to the first one?
*lol* If I could, I would sir. ^_^
Warren Cromartie makes a cameo in it! (former Tokyo Giants superstar)
