In Dramil Town, Team Natsu reunite with the other members of Fairy Tail. After the usual fun, Erza goes on a date with Jellal. She invites him to join Fairy Tail, something he says he will consider.

At Diabolos, Guild Master Georg gloats over the defeated and bound Selene. However, he demands she turn into dragon form before he consumes her. She complies, then squashes him like a bug. Kiria, Skullion, Madmole, and Suzaku are horrified by this. Suzaku realizes Selene played opossum to get to Georg. Selene demands to be named the head of Diabolos. An enraged Kiria attacks, but gets sent to another realm.

Selene returns to human form. She understands this is the era for humans, not dragons. To that end, she wants Diabolos to the Steel Dragon god Viernes and the Fire Dragon god Ignia. Selene returns Kiria, promising a rematch once they’ve killed the other dragons. Diabolos submits. As such, Selene’s first order is for them to kill Elefseria.

Thoughts/Review:

The battle against Alta Face was over in a flash in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 25. I’ve mentioned this before, but the fights do not last long. On one hand, I appreciate that because Fairy Tail fights can get quite tedious with the constant back and forth. However, there is a small part of me that thinks, “Wow! This fight was over so fast, it is anticlimactic.”

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 25

The main item of interest in this episode was the second half. It was clear that Suzaku had damaged Selene in their fight, but at a cost to himself. However, she had opened a portal, but he went through with her. I guess she used Suzaku to guide her so she knew where the endpoint of her portal went.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 25

Of course the big surprise came from the apparently defeated Selene showing her to merely be playing possum. I did not expect for her to just squash Georg. In addition, I didn’t expect her to want to take over a human mage guild. Kudos to Mashima-sensei there. Of course now that I think about it, this move makes sense. No doubt, there will be some kind of final conflict between Diablos and Team Natsu at a minimum. However, I can see the entire Fairy Tail guild getting roped in.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 25

Finally, I appreciated that the issue of Faris was resolved. The episode suggests Selene controlled Faris, thus her threats to kill folks don’t matter. Fine. BUT, there’s apparently a REAL White Mage still out there, so there’s that, I suppose.

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

In the end, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 25 brings the Elentear arc to an end. There’s no mention of a new season for the series. This episode covered 91 chapters of the source manga. I just looked and the source manga is up to chapter 175. To cover another 25 episodes, the source manga needs to be up to 182-ish. We’ll see what happens.
