Here is some SPOILER info for the upcoming UQ Holder Chapter 113, courtesy of 2ch. (My review of UQ Holder Chapter 113 should come out late Tuesday night or Wednesday, U.S. time, depending on when Crunchyroll publishes the chapter.)
UQ HOLDER Chapter 113 SPOILERS
The UQ Holder Chapter 113 goodness begins. This looks to be the chapter’s spoilers. ^_^
さて本編 強引に行きましょう

フェイトはネギを助けようとしてるんだ、と寝返るよう言う■衝撃走る…!!
Isana and Honoka are still here, and I think Touta strips them (but I could be very wrong about that). Fate is name dropped and there might be a new character entering. However, as usual, we’ll need a gracious person to provide a translation for us.
Updates to come.
Update #1: Sorry for the late update. I was up most of the night with work and had to get some sleep. I’ll post both translations that were sent. First up. DerGilga.
now this chapter: to press forward
In front of the strong, coordinated attacks of the twins
Touta falls into a dilemma, but according to the advice of Kurobou he activates the ‘white’
he trows a nude punch at the twinsHonoka says that she will drag and add Touta to Fate’s group/faction,
Fate personaly pops up and says that he didn’t gave such instructions
Touta, who gets angry, says that Honoka believes, that Yukihime killed Negi,
and that Fate is trying to help Negi, in a changing sides kind of manner■ he shockingly walks (forward)
—
not sure about the last part, sentence structure is kind of confusing
Next up, Gamen.
Now the original story Let’s go forcibly
Before the twin’s strong, coordinated attack
Touta is in a pinch, but following Kurobou’s advice he activates “White”
and throws a stripping punch at the twinsHonoka said she will drag Touta away and add him to Fate’s faction but
Fate himself shows up and says he did not give out that kind of order
To the angry Touta, Honoka says Yukihime intends to kill Negi
Trying to turn him she says Fate is trying to save Negi*A shock runs through him…!!
Well, this is a shocking little turn. Isana and Honoka working for Fate? (I didn’t recognize the Kanji for Honoka, which is why I thought we may have had a new character, especially since the character appeared to be with Fate.)
Anyway, thanks to DerGilga and Gamen. ^_^
Update #2: Spoiler images from a Korean scanlation. (No link ’cause of the nature of the images.)
Isana and Honoka are quite skilled as a team and quite powerful, but obviously are no match for Touta’s stripping ability. 😉
Dear God, I thought akamatsu was targeting the female demographic, not the lolicons.
Always bet on loli. 😉

So the Koneo’s are with Fate, so who or what opposes them?
UQ Holder would appear to oppose them.
@Astronerdboy That wouldn’t appear to be the case, UQ Holder opposes Fate/Konoe’s as a proxy of Eva, but it was clearly neither of their Factions that killed Touta’s ‘parents’. So the question remains whether there are Two enemy Factions?! The ones responsible for Touta losing the first 2 years of his memories and the ones that are suggested to be in opposition to Fate/Konoe’s.
This is excluding the Shinso who will come into play later as well as UQ Holder and whenever Graff’s Mazuko fraction comes into play. (Probably, Stopping Amater(or Industrys) from making the Sun go Supernova. Or doing dark rituals to aid it.)
Nothing says Endgame like a solar system buster/devastator and MC Wanking, of course.
Plot twist; it was Negi who killed Touta’s parents.(might make sense)
@nt122 I can agree with that. Most likely the better option compered to what Sensei’s explanation will be.
Ha!ha! That would be a twist.
I thought Fate confessed to killing Touta’s parents? If Fate thinks Touta belongs to him, then it is possible that the “parents” of Touta betrayed Fate.
@Astronerdboy A confession is a confession, when it is the truth. Fate was lying, and only said that, so Touta would start training.
Fate is still façade antagonist to Touta, despite the readership knowing better.
I’m not so sure, but we’ll see.
Oh, Fate the babysitter.
I suppose we already knew he liked taking in little girls since Negima.
This really introduces a new angle on the UQ Holder vs Fate’s Ala Alba subplot which hasn’t really been brought up since Fate was first introduced to the series.
I honestly forgot they were supposed to be enemies since we’ve seen Eva and Fate hanging out a few times since them.
Between the last chapter and this, it really looks like a lot of plot threads are converging on the tournament(and then there’s Hoodie).
Yeah, that’s how it appears.
Hum. Very interesting, we FINALLY beginning of an explanation on the ideological differences between Eva and Fate.
Here’s my theory:
Eva wants to kill Negi to become the next host of life-maker. Then, before the resonance takes control of her body, I guess she will find a way to kill herself (throwing herself in the sun, for example, although she is insensitive to the sun as pseudo-Shinso, I guess being consumed in the heart of the sun, do any regeneration impossible, even for shinso). The life-maker with no host near of him, would disappear at the same time as her.
In contrast Fate wants to destroy life-maker without killing Negi. Viewed like that, one would think that is the fairest idea. The problem is that I guess Fate focused ALL the economicals, technologicals, magicals and militaries resources of ala-alba on this quest….
Totally forgotting the Earth still ravage by the sequels of of climate change of 2050. Fate adopts the point of view following “Humanity has stinks quickly begin to recover from the disaster, with the plan Negi (scientists of our real world, also predict drastic climate change for 2050. except that in our world, the magic (perpetual energy in fact) does not exist. So the economic and social sequels will be much more serious. This is, because Negi has his plan, that the world of UQ is more or less bearable, even if this event was not the reason that led him to reveal the Magic to the World at the start).
Therefore, as the world is to maintain its civilization and a certain prosperity, thaks to Negi, it is normal, according to Fate, that he “wait” as long it takes until the release of his benefactor. ”
Eva, however, without doubt, consider that, at the rate things are going (the inequalities between rich and poor are widening, a trend increasingly marked the establishment of an informal caste system ect), we can not afford to wait to save Negi for to save the rest of the world. We must eradicate the life-maker now, though Negi must die in the and save asap worldwide.
In summary. From what I understand their conflict is summed up in this simple idea:
“Should we wait to save the world, the time to save a friend in the same time save the world, or should we sacrifice this friend forever to save the world faster?”.
Knowing that in any case the goal is to save the world in the end. The difference is the time it will take and if we must accept to sacrifice a friend (and an interstellar hero) or not.
Knowing also that even in Negima with Asuna, such dilem had not posed as hard. Indeed, it was only to seal her temporarily, not to kill her. And even if some did not, there was still a chance for her to wake-up after the revival Mundus magicus is connected with terraformed Mars.
This is only a theory.^^
Somehow, I can’t believe Eva truly wants to kill Negi. I can see Isana and Honoka misunderstanding things. We’ll see what Eva has to say when Touta questions her.
This is beginning to bug me…
Cause Mage of Beginning possesses a invulnerable status via metal possession type ability by resonating with the victim and taking over their body.
Here what we know about her so far…
She created The magical world and the pactio system.
She experimented with immortality and created Evangeline.
Evangeline supposedly defeated her? (But no signs of possession occurred… Possible incompatibility or attempt faired, also issue with the time frame as Eva was training with the witch of dimension for many many years).
She created Cosmo Entelecheia and Fate and they did battle with Ala Rubra.
The Mage faced both Nagi and Zecht and lost and seemingly took control of Zecht body.
Zecht revived Cosmo Entelecheia and worked in the shadows with Secondum and Tertium Fate.
Nagi, Arika and Alberio hunted Zecht/Mage and presumably defeated them. Nagi disappears for the next 10 years and is presumed dead, Arika fate is unknown and Alberio Imma guards the body of the Mage under the Mahora Tree (presumably Nagi who was sealed up)
Nagi/Mage of beginning reawakens and does battle with Ala Alba.
Nagi/Mage defeated at the hands of Negi and Asuna (primarily Asuna’s Magic cancel) and Nagi is presumably saved and the Mage is vanquished
The Mage of Beginning mysteriously returns and the ‘immortal’ members of Ala Alba controls him/her.
Negi is presumed dead but is actually in the process of being possessed by the Mage. Factions is created with Fate taking over Ala Alba and wishing to save Negi (apparently) whilst Eva founds UQ Holder and intends to kill Negi (apparently) by using Touta’s Magic Cancel.
There’s just a ton we don’t know. That’s always kinda frustrating at times.
Nah. Far more likely is that if Touta kills Negi, the Lifemaker then automatically jumps ship to Touta. Touta’s weird magic, however, stops that, resulting in either the Lifemakers spirit being ripped apart, or them being trapped inside Touta, unable to do anything.
Incidentally, I’ve been thinking about why Nagi showed up, and I’m wondering if Nagi’s spirit transferred over with the Lifemakers.
If so, I’m wondering if Eva is planning to do the same thing, and then place their spirits into a ready receptacle, essentially resurrecting them. While Fate believes that doing so won’t work, or is too risky.
So, it might come down to something Seimei suggested: what are they willing to risk/sacrifice?
Well, that explains everything.
-Yukihime VS Fate
-UQ! Holders are assembled because of Yukihime
-Fate killing Touta and his parents but Touta was revived by Yukihime
-Touta’s “White” Power
And lastly… the last piece of the puzzle that I have been thinking all this time:
-MSN’s Ending when Asuna is in the future and Evangeline’s explanation
It all adds up! 😮
You gets me, right? ^^;
LoneWolfx03 -]===-
I am pretty sure when fate said he was the one who killed Touta’s parents… i highly doubt it. Fate has always seemed to stick with the ‘Villian’ role. Not as apparent after the Magic arc, but fate is someone who i can see who would intentionally set someone against him.
I need to reread the end of Negima and Eva’s explanation.
I think it was chapter 40, after Eva used Magia Erebea to become the ice princess. Tota has only one question to ask Fate, and Fate answered yes to killing his parents. No details given. Fate could have ordered their deaths, or with the multiple swords and spears, it can very well have been Fate doing that himself. So much for Fate explaining things at that time. Tota was pissed and wanted to fight, but, Eva stopped him since Tota wasn’t even close to beating him. Even Dana said he’s still not ready.
Kuromaru’s question to Fate was if Fate needed Tota immediately, and Fate said he already waited 20yrs, and it wasn’t immediate. At that point, I wasn’t sure if Tota was 20yrs orld or around that age. We are now on chapter 113, and with the appearence of the MotB and also Negi, I’m guessing time is getting shorter.
A few chapters earlier Fate explains to Tota that he needs Tota as Tota is the key to saving the world – and is Tota’s chance to do so, and also saving his grandfather Negi. It was his push to get Tota to go with him. So I can see the twins falling for Fate’s side and plan too.
Karin’s question was about Fate’s love… which Eva cut it short when Fate started to talk about Eva and Negi, of course we know a little more of what happened after.
Fate also negatively comments about Eva and her intentions from his point of view, at the encounter at the tower in chapter 39?. So I can see the twins taking Fate’s side, since they don’t know Eva. Tota on the other hand, was raised by Eva so he knew better than to believe what Fate is saying…
So I dunno — is this a lie from Fate, or is it the way he honestly sees Eva. He had a bad opinion of Negi too initially when they met in Negima.
I think Isana and Honoka do know Eva. It is just they are siding with Fate on what they think is the best way to free Negi.
*remembers Astro’s prediction on plot twist*
:OOOOOOOOO
Always bet on plot twists, eh? 😉
Wow — just throw gasoline in the fire. Akamatsu-sensei did it again, another curve ball to the main story. Not enough information is being given, as usual, resulting in many many good theories.
From the private and personal meeting Eva had with Tota on the pier, expressing and communicating to Tota her love is still for Negi, I believe her, and her desire to be with Negi. Obviously she is trying to save him as much as she can. She loves him and NOT even a hint to wanting to hurt or kill him. I believe her more than the twins. For the twins probably are getting the information from someone else other than Eva. Tota is hearing it from the true person.
If the mother/dna source is Konoka, Honoka can possibly be a magister magi as strong as Negi, and could have been exploited by Fate, and I don’t think Konoka would allow her child to side with Fate too.
Eva has limited means and ability to free Negi, at least from what we have seen of her, and we don’t know her plans to do such at this point other than meeting with the class of 3-A, and we have seen her with Fate. I don’t see her with any intent to be more powerful than what she is already. There are still many others in that class that has not made their appearence yet.
Fate has much more resources than Eva and bigger goals, and may even have created all these clones, including Tota for the purpose of freeing Negi, and so far all of them calling Tota as either onii-sama or nii-sama. I can see Fate as someone with a different viewpoint, not revealing what he is doing, but not a liar. If he didn’t give that order, someone else did, till its shown that Fate lied, or proven that he lied. Seems he cannot control others in his group to follow his orders. Its interesting that he just appears with the twins.
I thought about it a bit more, it’s smart for Fate to recruit/exploit Isana and Honoka, or if he cloned Konoka and Setsuna to become living copies and members of his group. He knows their abilities and as a valuable asset as a member of his team, a mage and a master swordswoman. I wonder how Tsukuyomi thinks about Isana…a very visual reminder of her defeat. Fate could also exploit the ‘pactio’ for his group with a magister mage too, from his past experience with his encounter with Negi and how Negi used it in Negima.
It is possible that Tsukuyomi trained her. 🙂
Good point! Yes I can see that happening too. But I’m counting on Tota’s charm to woo them to his side. Seems he already took their clothes off. 😉
Yes, he did. 😀
I’m not so sure about that. UQH seems pretty well resourced, especially since Kirie finances them. Plus the inn brings in additional revenue in addition to giving UQH allies.
Considering it seems like Fate is the current CEO of the tower and everything, maybe he is actually better off. Since the tower is his and negi’s.
I honestly think we are finally going to learn why Fate and Eva don’t agree with how to save Negi.
And… touta might actually join fate’s group, or just ignore both groups and go into the tournament. Possibly challenging Eva and fate before fighting against his ‘sister’
I agree.
I think that Touta has grown enough as a character where this won’t happen. We’ll see though.
For some reason i see Touta similar to Nagi, in which Nagi would have possibly joined Kurt’s group when Negi wouldn’t during the Magic arc,
When Fate’s method, while crude, he did make a valid argument for Touta joining him, and he was even close to, until Fate badmouthed Eva(which then later you see the two walking around…hahaha)
Now bring in the Konoe twins, who are obviously acting on their own, and really want help to save Negi. Fate may have tried keeping Touta’s existence from them but they found out anyway and realized that he could help them save Negi.
Touta seems more like Nagi in personality.
There is the mystery involving the person who I call the Blonde Hair Tan Girl. The BHTG had attack Touta during the first preliminary round arc. She claims to be Touta’s sister. Since she is a mage, the BHTG is related to Negi. I can’t figure how she is related to Negi and Touta. At the present time, I assumed that she is likely Touta’s stepeister. The BHTG is likely related to Kei Fu. Kei Fu had blonde hair and a dark tan.
The BHGT does look like the Lifemaker. She could be under the Lifemaker’s spell. She did threaten to destroy New Tokyo if Touta doesn’t defeat her. The BHGT is one of the puzzles in the series.
Or she wanted make him Fire under his Ass.
She may be related to Negi (and Touta) in terms of being another kind of homunculus.
What dose she summon There.
Some kind of dragon, possibly an ice dragon.
Well, no wonder I kept thinking that the title of strongest UQ Holder was Emrys and that Touta would transform into a berserk Dragon. (Still think that Nagi’s lineage is Welsh dragonfolk.)
Touta is freaking Issei of High School DxD and Touma of the ToAru Franchise (shame on DxD season 3, episode 11 was amazing, then the Author rectcon his light novel’s make episode 12&13 canon) who’s partner is called Ddraig. Which is Welsh for Red Dragon.
https://youtu.be/hOWshIVtGB4
Also in the legend of Emrys, well versions of it. Excalibur appears. I wonder if Akamatsu will use the Latin or Welsh versions of the blade; (Caliburn and Caledfwlch, respectively.) So that Touta can Armament Divine.
He will have Three, we know Two of them.
His gravity blade and the Yang Fey Hina Blade, their is no other protagonist that Excalibur would be more right for than Touta. (ignoring King Arthur and Setsuna gaining the Welsh version from a renewed contract with Negi, Caledfwlch.)
That could be Akamatsu’s ‘Ace in the hole’ for Touta. Welsh incantations, their are less than 10’000 native Welsh speakers at the turn of the millennium, Touta would be among the last.
It has been clearly evidenced throughout the series, how powerful the High Ancient Greek spells are. Case in point, the Thunder god Lance and it’s successor.
Ancient Welsh has the capacity to be even more potent, in its destructive capacity.
It was Honoka that summoned the dragon. But I like the idea of a Welsh connection here.
@Astronerdboy Honestly when I wrote the above, I hadn’t recognised that Honoka was on a dragon.
Understood. ^_^
