…is that Jack getting raped? If so, this fight sure didn’t go like how it seemed set up to be.

Hmmm…not being able to really read the text or clearly see what all is happening, I didn’t think that Jack lost but I could well be wrong.
As far as I see, Negi didn´t win yet.
As for now, Rakan is just being counted out (I can see 1, 2 an 3)
Well, I don´t think Rakan is out already, but he won´t be unharmed either.
Negi got a clear hit with Thousand Bolts. In the fight with Nagi, Rakan could withstand it with that Willpower Defense, but this time he had no time to prepare a defense and on top of that that was a hit with Magia Erebea: Armationem and as far as we know, at point blank range spells are even more effective. (just look at his face/eyes when he gets hit: you can see, he isn´t that happy at all)
But well… it´s still the “invincible” Rakan we are talking about, so the fight will probably go on.
If I was Negi, I wouldn´t just stand there and wait. I would use some of that lightning spears and make sure Jack stays exactly where he is ^^
the scene with ako is a flashback right? cos it seems like the countdown was interrupted after “3”..
Well, the count is only up to 3, so its likely that Jack hasn’t lost quit yet.
win or loss, this chapter looks very intense. Kotaro went into beast version, Negi fought very well, and Rakan looks cool. What else do you need a chapter? I think it was great.
The action here reminds me of Dragonball Z and if this gets animated in the future, I bet you any money that people will be posting clips of it on youtube with dragonball z music and sound effects. *lol*
The reaction shots tell me Negi really did win, Most telling being the Princess, a look of almost shock. The only other thing I could see, is Ako is having quite the little fantasy.
Rakan, I think he’s going to start a new grudge match, I doubt 0-1 is going to sit very well with him.
Proving it’s real and Negi did win, I’m going to say now would be about the perfect time for “Nagi”‘s illusion to fail, eh?
From the looks of things, it seems like I was right about Negi using Thousand Blots to create a more powerful form rather than as an attack.
Here is my theory: Negi won and Rakan tells him some of the information (about Arika) or is about to, when Fate attacks and either kills Rakan (his importance in the story has been milked) or someone else who knows about Arika.
But of course, before that, Ako finds about Nagi’s true identity as her lovable sensei. Negi is probably the one who tells her.
Well, it will be 2-weeks to find out more(I confirmed it this time).
Yes, the scene with Ako bandaging up Negi is flashback because I think she’s remembering how she discovered Negi is actually the “Nagi-san” she’s fallen in love with.

I just grabbed some bigger cam shots; no change in what I said earlier. Negi dominates. I wonder how this is going to be explained…
Wow, so many chapters building up Rakan’s power and abilities and Negi beats the snot out of him almost literally! I kinda half-expected this to happen though. If you think back to when Negi first started training with Rakan, he was allowed a full-force “Ouka Houken” on him to gauge his strength and ended up causing Jack to spit up blood from the strike. Of course I knew he wasn’t gonna let himself get hit easily during the actual fight (didn’t do a good job anyway) judging from Rakan’s analysis of Negi’s strength increase since then, I didn’t think it’d be a problem.
That said, I don’t think he’s out just yet. I don’t see him getting up and saying something like “Is that all you got?” either just because of his genuinely surprised expressions to Negi’s attacks.
Blah Blah Blah I could talk forever about my thoughts on these images alone. I’ll just stop now and wait. But I know I’m speaking for everyone when I say “God, I can’t wait for the translations, or even just the high quality RAWS!!!”

As for the spoilers, Negi overpowered Jack, that easily is unlikely. The fight is going to continue, or something seems way off, but whatever.

@Anon — What I hear is that Akamatsu-sensei turned in chapter 243 a day late, meaning it couldn’t be published in next week’s magazine. Ordinarily, he would have taken after 243 off under the 4+1 schedule. Now, WHY he was late with the next chapter is not known.
242 is already published. Those spoiler images are from the magazine going on sale on Wednesday.

well I was wrong thinking that Negi won so sorry
No big deal. Without being able to read the Kanji, the images do appear that Negi could have won (which is what the people in the crowds are wondering).
So No Negima next week huh?
Heh. The count lasts until 20, and this chapter cuts out on the 3 and goes into a flashback about something else. This fight is far from over…
