ケロロ軍曹/Sgt. Frog/Keroro Gunsou Anime episode 98
SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:
Momoka and one of her bodyguards, Masayoshi, are said to have eloped and so Tama races to report this to Fuyuki. Keroro hears about this and decides to tag along. On the train, Masayoshi attempts to be close with Momoka but she can’t do it, leading Paul to emerge, dressed as a director, to tell Momoka she has to try harder. Meanwhile, Keroro and Tama arrive with Fuyuki and attempt to get him to say what Momoka wants Fuyuki to say. However, Fuyuki doesn’t know why he must say that Momoka is his and doesn’t believe that Momoka and Masayoshi look all that close. So, Momoka tries the Titanic plan, but that fails too. She tries the mountain plan and Keroro accidentally launches multiple “accidents” and Fuyuki save Momoka from falling into a pit. Since they go home together hand-in-hand, the operation is considered a success.
Koyuki comes home to find Dororo weeping because of his “friends” and she recalls her best friend from the shinobi village, Mukuro, and the training and things they went through. It was during this time that Koyuki and her dog Zeroyasha encounter the captured and injured Dororo (then called Zeroro), whom she mistakes for a kappa. She takes him back to her village, where he changes his name to Dororo and begins training with her. When the shinobi village disbands so that the people go to live in the regular world, Dororo travels with Koyuki. Back in the present, Keroro and Tamama stop by with a new plan that they think will meet with Dororo’s approval. Koyuki has her new friend in Natsumi, but Mukuro is closer than Koyuki might think.
Thoughts/Review:
Story one was rather “meh” with the rather predictable scheme to get Fuyuki to fall for Momoka. However, it was kinda sweet having Fuyuki and Momoka go home hand-in-hand.
The second story is one I remember from the manga. The weeping Dororo is one I don’t care for, but at least there wasn’t much of that here.
The look at Koyuki’s backstory and how she met Dororo is interesting. I want to say there was a bit more to the Dororo-Koyuki training, but I could be mistaken.
So, pretty standard fare for the Keroro Gunsou anime series.
