Here’s what I know many of you have been waiting for — the original-sized, sneak-peek SPOILER images for Mahou Sensei Negima! Chapter 353 as brought to you by anonymous Japanese (and other) fans (click pic to make bigger, y’all).
Then on 4chan, this page showed up. It looks a lot like Akamatsu-sensei’s art, but I’m not sure where its from (could be from this chapter, could be from a doujinshi — if you know, let me know).
This image cracks me up since it deals with the harem issue. Negi’s brain is filled with the following (in order of importance):
- His father (Nagi)
- Rakan-san
- Fate
- Kotaro-kun
So naturally, Setsuna and Asuna have to make him pay. *lol*
I’m trying to keep an eye open for more.

Thanks. I was pretty sure it was Akamatsu-sensei’s work, but I just didn’t know from where.
So that first pic pretty much confirms the split timeline theory. I think a lot of people knew that was gonna happen. The only point in this chapter I’m interested in now is finding out if Eva answers Asuna and tells how/if/why Negi died in the first timeline.
Eva…*sigh* I’ll save my comments for the chapter review.

I suppose one of the “benefits” of a 3 chapter deadline is lingering questions like the cause of Negi’s death can’t go unanswered for 100 chapters. I hope the page with Asuna recalling Negi’s gravestone isn’t one of the last pages, I’m not sure my patience could hold out 🙂

Half obvious that Chao would use the bid of Cassiopeia.
However this makes it a great responsibility with Asuna. She knows about the death of Negi and may use that information to change the future. Just as Chao tried to change it and that’s the irony because Negi and his friends prevented.
Sadness… averted? Time travel for happy ending? I’m not sure how to react, other than sigh in relief at a grimdark ending being averted for now… that, and I have a sudden urge to start listening to Huey Lewis & The News.

really akamatsu just pull crap after crap. he just made it to the list of worst mangakas.
I’m not ready to go that route, but I understand your frustrations.
If you notice on the first page that the middle part of the page is colored black. Don’t you think that pages that are black is because this is a flashback? When there isn’t a flashback it’s back to white?
Since Konoka and Setsuna are crying and hugging Asuna, that means Asuna, Chao, and Eva really did go back in time.
Am I seeing things? Is that Prinny at the bottom of the first spoiler pic?

Why is Asuna wearing a bow in her mahora uniform like Setsuna instead of a ribbon? Didn’t Asuna used to wear a ribbon on her mahora uniform?

Next frame: Eva feels herself dizzy, when comes back. And her face is red.
Some pictures about girls are trying to speak with Eva, but she cannot speak…

A: I’ve forgot this.

A: When did you kiss Negi, hm?

Also, 2/26/12 marks the 9-year anniversary of the manga
And I finally saw the movie, after 6+ months of waiting, in HQ-very beautiful animation!
Hopefully Volume 0 will also come out quickly! 😀
So Basically:
Evangeline somehow rips the space time continuum, somehow ends up in Chao’s reality, has her cook up a device that would allow her to do the same, and they both go back to the original reality pick up Asuna and go back 130 years to the precise minute Asuna left in the first place. Conveniently the situation was right to allow for an 130 year time jump.
Well when Negima pulls a deus ex machina, it pulls it like a boss.
I wrote about Boredom of Suzumiya Evangeline. 😉 Worst case is impossible in two chapters: Endless Eight. =:-o Phew. 😉

Asuna comes back when every ones crying over her leaving
Near the end, it looks like Negi has done the full-class Pactio after all. At least, the twins and Sakurako are able to summon their Pactio outfits.
It’s also awesome that Sayo and Chao both are able to participate in their graduation.
Although, I’d still like to know if Negi ever did find that curse breaker for Eva…
