Shachiku-san Wants to be Healed by a Little Girl Ghost

SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

Fushihara finishes her work in a timely fashion. However, the rains mean she has to rush home. That night, Yuurei-chan emerges after 2am, only to find Fushihara gone. Initially, Yuurei-chan is happy by this, but then finds herself sad and alone. Further complicating things is a thunderstorm, leaving Yuurei-chan hiding under Fushihara’s desk and denying she’s lonely or scared.

Fushihara enters the office, unhappy about having to do late night revisions. When she finishes, Fushihara decides to take the lonely, frightened girl spirit home. She even has a frog-themed rain outfit for Yuurei-chan. On the way home, they find an abandoned kitten. Fushihara decides to adopt it, pleasing Yuurei-chan. The next day at work, Fushihara is worried about Yuurei-chan and Myaako, the kitten. When she comes home, she finds the two sleeping, having played all day.

Sometime later, Fushihara has drinks with her old high school friend, Kaori. As they talk, Kaori wonders if Fushihara is being haunted. However, Kaori thinks this girl spirit is good for Fushihara. That afternoon, Fushihara returns home to find Yuurei-chan cleaning outside with Myaako. The next day, Myaako seems desperate for Fushihara not to leave. She turns into a humanoid cat-girl, surprising Fushihara and Yuurei-chan.

Thoughts/Review:

The adorable cuteness grows in the poorly named Miss Shachiku and the Little Baby Ghost 03.

Yuurei-chan

I know that Yuurei-chan haunts the office building that Fushihara works at. I still don’t know why. However, what does surprise me is that Fushihara leaves her at the office. As such, Miss Shachiku and the Little Baby Ghost 03 shows us that Yuurei-chan has become quite attached to Fushihara. And one would have to be a cold-hearted bastard not to feel for the frightened, lonely Yuurei-chan during the thunderstorm in the middle of the night.

Miss Shachiku and the Little Baby Ghost 03

Since Yuurei-chan came home with Fushihara a second time, AND they adopted an abandoned kitten, I’m hoping that Yuurei-chan has moved her residence to Fushihara’s apartment. It does seem that way, but then that would kill the 2am gag of Yuurei-chan attempting to get Fushihara to go home.

Miss Shachiku and the Little Baby Ghost 03

It is interesting that Fushihara’s friend Kaori seemed to know about Yuurei-chan. I wonder how that is.

Myaako

A new loli character was introduced in Miss Shachiku and the Little Baby Ghost 03. This time in the form of the cat-girl, Myaako. On one hand, Myaako’s revelation at being a cat-girl was out of left field. After all, when Fushihara and Yuurei-chan found her, she was an abandoned kitten, in a box, in the rain. And she remained a kitten for at least a day. (Yeah, I know Myaako is in the OP, but I’m just talking story-wise.)

Miss Shachiku and the Little Baby Ghost 03

On the other hand, it makes sense to introduce another loli character to the mix. Twice the adorable cuteness, twice the awesomeness, right? Plus, it gives Yuurei-chan a friend and “little sister” if you will. As such, I’m looking forward to seeing where the adorableness goes from here.

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

In the end, Miss Shachiku and the Little Baby Ghost 03 increased the cuteness and adorableness of the series by not only adding Myaako to the mix, but also showing Yuurei-chan as a lonely, frightened girl who needs to be taken care of, even if she is a ghost.
