Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 241
Tonikaku Kawaii Fly Me to the Moon 241
トニカクカワイイ 241
Spoiler Summary/Synopsis:
At the library, Nasa stuns Himari when she notices he has a wedding band on. He offers to get her a drink when she mentions swooning over learning Nasa is married. However, she backs off that drink. Instead, she apologizes for her words when they were little. Nasa informs her that her words helped drive him to be the best. She feels that this is why he’s taking the exam, even though he’s not in school.
At the bathhouse, Kaname notices Tsukasa is distracted. When Kaname learns that Tsukasa is worried about her husband, she teases Tsukasa. In return, Tsukasa states that her worry is whether Nasa got into trouble or not. Kaname figures Nasa may have gotten involved with a troublesome girl.
Nasa returns with Himari in tow. He introduces Himari to Tsukasa and Kaname. When Tsukasa speaks, Himari has a notion of Tsukasa speaking to her in the past. To that end, she asks if she and Tsukasa have met before. Tsukasa mentions their meeting in Tokyo Tower. Himari gives an embarrassed laugh over this. However, Tsukasa goes on further to state she’s never met Himari before that time. Himari quietly concedes that the girl she met seven years earlier couldn’t be Tsukasa.
Thoughts/Review:
Now that Hata-sensei has taken the story in a direction I didn’t initially expect, Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 241 continues to push the plot thread of Tsukasa’s prior encounter with Himari. Obviously, we know this was Tsukasa, even if we don’t know the details of the encounter. But Himari doesn’t know this. To her, she’s trying to reconcile how a girl she sees now looks identical to a girl who did something for her years ago.
The other thing this chapter did is pretty much kill any notion of Himari having any kind of romantic feelings for Nasa. I wasn’t sure if we’d get some stupid love-whatever going on with Himari, Tsukasa, Nasa, and Asimo. Thankfully, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Instead, the story is more about whatever Tsukasa did for Himari.
And then on the side, it will be what Asimo does in regards to the entrance exams. So there will be a bit of rivalry going on, but otherwise, I no longer see Hata-sensei making a love-square for the four. But we’ll see what Nasa ultimately does with Asimo and the exams.
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
In the end, Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 241 is a fine and entertaining chapter for what it is. And it does make me look forward to seeing what is going to happen next.
