SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

Aki takes Fuyuki, Natsumi, and the Keroro Platoon to an onsen. Unfortunately, a single monkey is in the women’s onsen. Keroro chases it off, but more arrive. Aki freaks out, so Keroro decides to negotiate a truce. The monkeys ignore him. As such, four of the platoon transform into costumes of mortar, a bee, a chestnut, and cow poop as counters to the monkeys. Their attack ends up hurting Dororo. As such, Keroro goes to bring heavy firepower, but the Hinata’s refuse. Kururu transforms the monkeys into monkey girls, so all’s well…for a time.

Natsumi bakes a variety of breads. Keroro doesn’t think it is as good as Keron bread. So when Natsumi challenges him, Keroro and Tamama get serious for a bread baking competition. The platoon make giant, walking breads. The breads battle, but when Kururu’s loses, he causes it to ruin Giroro’s. Giroro’s bread goes on a rampage, so Natsumi makes one that wins the battle.

Thoughts/Review:

Two forgettable stories in Keroro Gunsou Episode 136. For the first story, I didn’t laugh at Aki’s fear of monkeys. And though I know monkeys in Japan love onsens, I just didn’t care about the story nor the efforts to humanly deal with the issue. And I don’t really get the transformation stuff either.

For the second story, again we get another “banger”, only with giant, baked breads that “come to life” as it were. As with the earlier story, I didn’t find this story amusing. And I just didn’t care about anything that went on. With stories like this, it is amazing to me that the series is still going strong in Japan. 😅
