SPOILER Summary/Synopsis
In a large, lax security, mixed-sex prison in the middle of a desert, the warden visits Fujiko’s cell and demands she have sex with him or else. She refuses. An inmate escapes, so the warden sends an Iron Lizard land torpedo after the inmate. Sometime later, Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon drive down the road and almost run over said inmate, who’s lying on the road. The inmate steals Lupin’s car, whereupon the Iron Lizard quickly catches the car and explodes.
Goemon finds a note from Fujiko in the wreckage. She asks for Lupin’s help to escape prison as the warden will soon force her to submit to him sexually. As such, Lupin convinces Jigen and Goemon to help him rescue Fujiko. They hold up a bank just to get arrested. They are immediately taken to prison, where the warden takes a lock of their hair. This is then given to individual Iron Lizards who will endlessly pursue their designated prisoner of said prisoner escapes.
After visiting Fujiko, Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon immediately escape. Zenigata, who’s arrived at the prison, pushes the button to send the torpedoes. Three Iron Lizards are sent after the escapees. No matter where the three go, the torpedoes pursue but never overtake. Further, the Iron Lizards are not fooled for long by delaying tactics from Lupin. Eventually, they trap the Iron Lizards long enough to enact a plan.
Meanwhile, the warden has Fujiko in his bedroom to have sex. He blabs about the only way to destroy the Iron Lizards. A guard comes in to decry the wardens actions. The guard then sets up some elaborate thing before revealing himself to be Lupin along with Jigen and Goemon. They cause the torpedoes to explode and escape in a parachute-balloon with Fujiko.
Thoughts/Review
Talk about brain dead episodes, Lupin the 3rd: Part II 25 is right up there. This episode is 100% driven by plot demands. Why is Fujiko in a mostly male prison? Don’t kn0w. Why is she secure in a cell while everyone else roams freely? Don’t know. Why doesn’t the warden just rape her now rather than try to force her to reluctantly consent? Don’t know. Why are all prisoners here set to be executed, presumably without trial? Don’t know. How’d the escapee know where to encounter Lupin? Don’t know.
Why do the Iron Lizards never run out of fuel for such small things? Don’t know. How come they can catch a speeding car, but cannot catch people running? Don’t know. How do they drill through rocks without drills? Don’t know. How do they follow a scent if the scent has long since blown away with the wind? Don’t know. How do they follow a scent in flowing water? Don’t know. How are these land torpedoes so water proof? Don’t know. How are they bullet proof? Don’t know. Why doesn’t Goemon cut them? Don’t know.
Why is Zenigata here? Don’t know. How come the warden doesn’t immediately force Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon to change into prison attire like the rest of the prison? Don’t know. Not only that, why were Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon allowed to have access to their weapons? Don’t know. Indeed, how did Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon suddenly get their weapons after they’d already fled the prison? Don’t know. After Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon lost all of their clothing, how’d they suddenly get it all back? Don’t know.
Oh wait, I do know. The plot required it. I feel dumber for having watched this drivel. 😭
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
In the end, Lupin the 3rd: Part II 25 is an insanely stupid episode where the writer decided to indulge himself. Thus he decreed, thus it became.
