Haiyoru! Nyaru-ani: Remember My Mr. Lovecraft – 07
Atoko wonders if Mahiro is good with “my computer,” which he presumes to be a personal computer.
Atoko wants to return to a special website she found yesterday but can’t figure out how to get back there. Mahiro agrees to help her and discovers Atoko’s desktop is rather unconventional, complete with an ecchi wallpaper and ecchi sound effects for one of the icons.
When Mahiro looks through Atoko’s browser history and sees she has surfed a large number of porn websites in a very short period of time, leading him to suspect she may be testing him somehow.
Mahiro manages to get another hint from Atoko — the site was about dogs. Two hours later, he finally finds the right dog image, which is all she wanted to see.
Nyarlko shows what old-school 3D visuals were like.
28-days until whatever arrives.
Man, I did not get the joke of this one at all. I’m going to guess that Atoko was just teasing Mahiro with her rather silly request. However, there’s really nothing to say either way what Atoko’s motive might have been. No matter what the reason, I just didn’t find it funny, though I did like the nod to the old school PC in the episode. ^_^
Oh, I do wonder how many people will try to visit some of those faux porn websites. ^_~
The little 3D demo at the end sorta made me wish I had some old school 3D glasses, just to see the effect. I’m not sure how the new 3D glasses would handle this old school effect.
Beyond that, there’s just nothing here. Its a shame too after last week’s fairly decent outing.
The new style of 3D glasses shouldn’t do anything at all. Old-style 3D uses the red and blue shifts such that one eye can’t make out one shift, so you see two different images like you naturally would when focusing on an object. The new type of 3D does the same thing, but uses polarity shifts instead of color shifts. You can see the same effect with polarized sunglasses and a lot of digital displays; turn your head ninety degrees while wearing them and you’ll see color shifts or even completely obscure the display.
I believe the method currently used to encode the video is for each horizontal line to flip polarity ninety degrees. I’m not completely certain on that, though, I just know its a way it was done recently.

( ._.)
Futanari_love.com………….what the hell?
Wait a minute…how do you know these sites are fake?

That’s kinda what I figured.

*lol* There’s no way in the world that an anime series would advertise real porn sites. At best, they’d register the domains for viral marketing purposes.
