Ad Astra Per Aspera – Cast of Characters

In order to help me keep track of who’s who, I’m creating a public page for the various cast members of HATA Kousuke’s new manga, Ad Astra Per Aspera.

• HAZUKI Shinobu – (Family name is assumed to be Hazuki.) 15 year old lead male. He’s an orphan, being raised by a robot, which is not normal, and is bullied for this.
• Shatou – Shinobu’s best friend and despite being a guy, Shinobu calls him “Shatou-chan.” Unlike Shinobu, Shatou does not accept the alien rule despite the fact they’ve ruled for 100 years.
• Patty – The miko Shinobu is seen carrying in the promo artwork. She owns the powerful mecha (robot) unit, Versailles.
• Versailles — The powerful, AI mecha unit owned by Patty (or at the very least, partnered with Patty).
• Satella (Stella) — A girl Shinbu’s age who’s the pride of the Imperial Army’s Sol Branch; Peerless Ace. As a child, she witnessed her mother get assassinated by a high school boy accused of terrorism whom her mother was showing mercy to. She’s been given the giant mecha named Rose to go after Shinobu.
• Captain — Wears dark suit with cape.
• Satella’s mother — Looks like Athena from Hayate the Combat Butler. Tells Satella everyone deserves kindness and understanding. She shows kindness to a student accused of terrorism and said student assassinates her in front of Satella.
