Lupin III: A Woman Called MINE Fujiko – 02

SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

Lupin III: A Woman Called MINE Fujiko - 02Fujiko is at a casino and winning at roulette when the casino’s owner, Cicciolina, puts a wager that Fujiko can’t resist — the casino against Fujiko herself. Fujiko loses despite her cheating device, and is taken captive and stripped before Cicciolina gives her a new task for her freedom — steal a .357 Magnum from Jigen, the former bodyguard of her husband who killed him and went to work for a rival mafia boss.  Fujiko quickly infiltrates the rival bosses strip club and becomes he boss’s girlfriend. Although Jigen has orders to guard her as well as the boss, Fujiko quickly discovers that seducing Jigen isn’t going to be an easy task.

Lupin III: A Woman Called MINE Fujiko - 02When the rival boss is away, Fujiko gets Jigen into her room and he recalls how when he worked for Cicciolina’s husband, she’d been suicidal, though her husband loved her just the same. Cicciolina becomes infatuated with Jigen and arranges a night on the town with him. Eventually, she gets him into a coffin with her as she hides from her husband, wanting to boink Jigen. Later, the husband confronts her about this and decides to go after Jigen. In the struggle for his gun, she accidentally kills her husband. Jigen comes in and tells Cicciolina to blame him for the killing in order to spare her, then Jigen flees.

Lupin III: A Woman Called MINE Fujiko - 02In the present, Fujiko kisses Jigen and thus drugs him. She steals his gun, not realizing it isn’t his actual .357 Magnum, which he’d hidden in a case. She instructs Jigen to go to the church when Cicciolina and he had been, then she returns to Cicciolina, who wants Fujiko to kill Jigen. Jigen shakes off the effect of the drug and with his weapon, comes to the church. Cicciolina also shows up with her Chinese mafia boyfriend, whom Jigen ends up killing. Cicciolina also ends up dead as Fujiko flees, this being Cicciolina’s wish all along. Later at Cicciolina’s grave, Fujiko and Jigen talk, where he reveals he’s giving up being a killer and will become a thief, though he will never team up with her. Fujiko tells him not to be so sure about that and leaves.

Man, it is a shame that Jigen’s seiyuu, KOBAYASHI Kiyoshi, sounds so old. He should have retired as well when Fujiko’s and Goemon’s seiyuu retired, but oh well.

Lupin III: A Woman Called MINE Fujiko - 02

Anyway, this story of Fujiko meeting Jigen for the first time wasn’t nearly as interesting as Fujiko’s meeting Lupin for the first time. That’s mainly due to the fact that I saw no reason for Jigen to lie about Cicciolina accidentally killing her husband. Further to that, if there’s a problem with a mob boss dying, why put his own life into further jeopardy?  Would a mob boss want more trouble in hiring the supposed killer of your rival?  It just didn’t piece together for me.

Fortunately, Fujiko was again foiled at her seduction attempts. I was starting to get angry when she got a kiss in on Jigen because that would be out of character for him. However, Jigen expected Fujiko’s move and was prepared accordingly, thus I’m cool with how things went down there.

Lupin III: A Woman Called MINE Fujiko - 02

As to Fujiko, well, nothing like any old, cheap excuse to get her naked, eh?  Make her a prisoner?  Strip the whore so she’ll do a job for you.  Yeah, makes sense.  And of course, Fujiko has to strip to try to seduce Jigen. *_* Well, it’s all about titillation (no pun intended).

Lupin III: A Woman Called MINE Fujiko - 02

I’m still not a fan of the art style, character designs, or animation style.  However, it is what it is.

I suppose next up is Goemon.  Be back soon.

Lol at the contrasting opinions. Im really digging this anime, it could be the best series of 2012. Everything about it is flawless.

Some hints. Next episode is Goemon focused. In fact I was going to tell you how the entire episode Fujiko was fully clothed…then the last five minutes happened. Damn.
