UQ Holder Chapter 32 SPOILER Images (Update #1)

Here is the first SPOILER image from the upcoming UQ Holder chapter 32 courtesy of the VERY gracious Southrop. (My review of UQ Holder chapter 32 should come out Wednesday.)

UQ HOLDER CHAPTER 32 SPOILERS

The UQ Holder chapter 32 goodness begins.^_^

UQ Holder Chapter 32 SPOILER Images

Har! Kirie loses the glasses and apparently her shy nature too.  I wonder what smeg head thing Touta did or said to trigger this.  Why do I get the feeling that he saw her panties or something?

Only one image so far. I’ll be keeping an eye open for more images from the ever awesome Southrop. ^_^

Update #1:  Here’s a couple more shared images.

Our first, semi-closeup look at the space elevator tower base.

And to highlight the map here, where the seas have covered a large part of the Kanto Plains.

UQ Holder Chapter 32 SPOILER Images

So we have a mystery as to what caused the Kanto Plains and a lot of the Tokyo metroplex to become submerged. I’d like for it to be something akin to what happened in Bubblegum Crisis 2040 (meaning something interesting story-wise is the cause of this). I fear it may be due to some other crap.

I’d like to express my continued thanks to Southrop for sharing these awesome images. As usual, he has some notes for UQ Holder chapter 32 for those interested. ^_^

Enters the tsun/yan/whaterver is annoyingdere character…*sigh…* well, I hope Touta REALLY deserved this someway, or I’ll be disappointed…

  2. AstroNerdBoy says:

    Yikes. Just discovered this page got all wonky. Got that fixed. ^_^;

  3. Dargor says:

Well, its good to know that the future of Negima sucks, and sucks hard. I half expect Akamatsu to go at length on how 3-A met a miserable and painful demise.

    • OverMaster says:

They all drowned, of course. Even Akira, ironically enough. But who cares, we have Touta, who is shiny and good and great and the Light of the Universe, so who needs the characters we knew and loved for nearly a decade. Right?

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

Well, we know Ayaka died when she was very old. ^_~

      • OverMaster says:

If she’s alive in THIS timeline, it’s suspicious she’s not bankrolling the team instead of Kirie. You already have a rich character with ties to the previous series, why not to use her and help to make things clear through her and just give the new girl another role, maybe an action one in a series with a mostly male cast? The answer seems to be ‘because the manga wants to keep readers in the dark for the sake of it, and because Akamatsu doesn’t want to use Negima characters but Eva anymore’, but it comes as rather transparent.

        • AstroNerdBoy says:

Ayaka was up on Mars, so if she is alive somehow, she may not be aware of the existence of UQ Holder. Still, I don’t that Ayaka is alive.

That being said, I do agree with you that Akamatsu-sensei wants to keep people in the dark for the sake of it. It isn’t an uncommon trait in shounen manga I suppose. I recently read all 119 chapters of Nisekoi, which while not in the same vein as UQ Holder, the manga-ka there is clearly keeping folks in the dark just for the sake of keeping the manga going.

  4. during the Negima i had a wild guess that Mahora located in the bank of Kasumigaura and now Akamatsu sensei turned whole area to water only leave 2 islands left…
so the Pillar seem to be not located in Tokyo bay but right inland of Tokyo

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

      Yeah, so it would seem.

    • hata says:

No, Mahora is no where near that, the hint is when they went to Kyoto the statiosns they passed on their way to Tokyo to take the bullet train, Mahora is somewhere in Saitima. (see wiki)

  5. Gore17 says:

Actually, to me, that first picture seems like Touta’s the one responsible, like he’s picking up her foot and looking at the soles of her shoes.

    • OverMaster says:

That’s even worse in a way. At least if she tried to kick him, it’s her who took an action to flash her underwear while in a skirt, but if he pulled her leg up just to look at her sole… wow, like wow. I know he studied in an all boys’ class, but it’s not like he was Goku, raised alone in the woods away from any norms of human etiquette.

    • Southrop says:

That’s not the case. Touta is preventing her from stepping on his face.

  6. fg7dragon says:

What I’m rather curios about is the World Tree in MAhora: is it underwater as well? I mean, with the underground area under UQ Holder HQ being Albireo’s old hideout, one would expect the tree to be in the same area, yet I haven’t seen it in any of theose pictures, nore in the slums that havebeen theorized to be old Mahora.

    • Southrop says:

I mean, with the underground area under UQ Holder HQ being Albireo’s old hideout

This was just speculation by other fans. There is no confirmation that it is indeed Albireo’s hideout or Mahora at all.

      • AstroNerdBoy says:

Which is a good point. I think a lot of fans (myself included at times) are making certain assumptions and stating them as factual within the context of the story when in fact nothing has been stated as such.

        • OverMaster says:

That’s the thing. The story doesn’t bother to explain even basic things like ‘where the heck is this place’ due to its haphzard, rather randomly plotted nature, so it gets confusing even for older readers. Remember for the first few chapters, people was even unsure if the story was taking place in Mundus Magicus or Vetus.

It seems Akamatsu is wanting to keep suspense, but doing so in the wrong ways. Things that should be clear from the plotting itself are portrayed in muddy, clumsy ways just to keep the reader guessing, instead of deriving the questions from the other enigmatic plot points, on which there’s no shortage either. Maybe he’s afraid of outright saying ‘this destroyed place, where a lot of people might have died, is the Mahora you loved’, but that’s making your bed and then not wanting to sleep on it.

          • AstroNerdBoy says:

I’ve been wondering why Akamatsu-sensei’s writing style this time out is not as tight as it could be. If I had to guess, I’d say that he has a different editor this time out, and that since Akamatsu-sensei has control over his own copyright, he may have final say over what happens with the story. As such, he may have good story ideas, but doesn’t have the focal lens he needs to make it tight and good.

Of course, that’s just a guess.

      • Somehow i think the Mahora city is right behind that big pillar (why ? page 4 chapter 352 plus cover page of vol 38 negima)
and about the Albireo’s old hidden out: in chapter 54 of Negima , we can see the map of under Mahora , a big cave (like the one Touta threw into) but yet , if we travel from an unknown village in West to Mahora , we must visit old Tokyo in the way (if you couldn’t fly) so the Island is likely not Library Island (as a book worm like Eva , i wonder she would destroy a library to build a barrack) so i guess that she moved whole the cave to new location like the way she did with her castles
all of those things are wild guesses

        • AstroNerdBoy says:

Yeah, I had forgotten that she’d encapsulated entire buildings and the land around them in her dioramas. Hmmmm…interesting. Hopefully, Akamatsu-sensei will give us the answers.

    Now I’m thinking weird…. I’m seeing Chisame without glasses. (0_o )

  8. klyde says:

OH MY GOOD HEAVENS! we can now finally see how Kirie’s imortality works on chapter 33. damn
