Hachiko is incapacitated by not having a weapon, but even grabbing a broom doesn’t help as the red mecha disarms her. Beni attempts to battle the mecha, but it is too much for her. Tenchi activates Tenchi-ken and quickly destroys the mecha, much to Beni’s surprise. Yuki and Rui run off with a massive pile of supplies. Beni punches Tenchi to see if he is as strong as she thought, causing Hachiko to get angry with her.

Ai Tenchi Muyo! – 12 Review
SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:
A battered Tenchi comes home where Sasami-chan greets him, having infiltrated the school as a student. Aeka also greets him, but they have news for him — Ryoko is making dinner. To do this, Ryoko has captured some alien critter, and she’s somewhat offended that Tenchi doesn’t seem to want to eat it. The critter tries to escape the pot, angering Ryoko. Aeka and Sasami end up bailing on Tenchi as Ryoko brings a piece of the Undagon, forcing him to eat a piece.
Thoughts/Review:
Someone told me that it would not be to my interest to blog Ai Tenchi Muyo on an episode basis, and they were right. I’m just way too busy, especially with trips to NJ and all the work I’m buried in. So, I’m going to blog four episodes at once to get everything for whatever week. To get this started, I’ll finish the last two episodes for two week’s ago.
For episode 11, we finally get to see Tenchi go out somewhat by bringing Tenchi-ken into play. So he gets to show off a bit so that Beni can see this. We’ll see were this goes.
As for Hachiko, I couldn’t help but be amused by her losing it when she lost her weapon. I do like how she defended “Misaki-sensei” after Beni punched him.
For episode 12, it is GREAT seeing Sasami, Aeka, and Ryoko again. Yeah, I know we saw them a few episodes ago, but seeing them always makes me smile, more so because of the hijinks involved.
Cooking gags in anime and manga are very old. Throwing in the alien element, I was reminded of Keroro Gunsou, where Keroro often tried to cook some weird alien critter, but failed. ORIKASA Ai makes the scene awesome in her vocalizations of Ryoko. I think that’s why I’ve loved Ryoko all these years as a character. ^_^
Oh, and Negishi threw in a Men in Black reference. ^_^
Regardless, while episode 12 may not have had much going for it, it was still the best of the lot, simply because of the classic characters.
The next few episodes are also relatively good.
And I’ve got to try to carve out time to watch these.
