Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 50
Tonikaku Kawaii Fly Me to the Moon 50
トニカクカワイイ 50
Spoiler Summary/Synopsis:
Kaname expresses to Tsukasa her worries about Tsukasa’s and Nasa’s nighttime relations. While they chat, a man looking like yakuza enters the bathhouse. He asks for Yuzaki, so Tsukasa identifies herself as such. The man is looking for Nasa. Since he is rude about it, Tsukasa refuses him entry unless he pays the fees. He angrily purchases an entry ticket.
Nasa shows up and recognizes the man as his high school cousin, Ginga-kun. When Ginga hears that Tsukasa is Nasa’s wife, he profusely apologizes for his rude behavior to her. Tsukasa suspects Ginga is actually yakuza, but Nasa assures her that he’s just a high school boy. However, all of Ginga’s talk about high school is in the form of yakuza terms.
Ginga wants to know why Nasa married Tsukasa. As such, he bluntly states it is because he loves her. Ginga demands they kiss. Tsukasa is embarrassed by this, but Kaname backs Ginga up. Nasa is fine with it, but also doesn’t want to cause Tsukasa distress. As such, she agrees to it as well. Before they kiss, Ginga calls it off as he’s embarrassed. This angers Kaname.
Thoughts/Review:
I can’t help but think that Hata-sensei is using Tonikaku Cawaii chapter 50 to troll the people who complain about the lack of sex between Tsukasa and Nasa.
No Sex Marriage
To be honest, the fact that Tsukasa and Nasa aren’t boinking like rabbits doesn’t bother me. But then I understand that this is a shounen manga that may have some mild ecchi moments and jokes, but beyond that, nothing. This series is supposed to be a romantic comedy where the lead male and female are already a couple from the start. After that, it is a slice of life piece, with hints that we might get the Kaguya-hime tale.
As I’ve previously stated, I get that in real life, and 18 year old Nasa and a 16 year old Tsukasa would be having lots and lots of sex after they got married. But Tonikaku Cawaii isn’t real life. It is fantasy. For me, the fun of the series is in the journey we are taking. If I wanted to have sex stuff, I’d go read a hentai title.
That said, Hata-sensei is clearly trolling the folks who think we should have sex moments in Tonikaku Cawaii for Tsukasa and Nasa. And he’s using Kaname as the main medium for this to represent those who are complaining. I find it all amusing.
Tsukasa the Bold
During my stint in Japan, I had only one encounter (that I know of) with the yakuza. When they came into the bar we were at after some drunk marines wanted to have a fight with a patron who was a yakuza member, we fled out the back. You just didn’t want to mess with those guys.
As such, seeing Tsukasa stand up to Ginga, who’s appearance and speaking mannerism is that of the yakuza, is pretty impressive.
And it had amusing moments too. 😂
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
In the end, Tonikaku Cawaii chapter 50 was an amusing chapter. Hata-sensei is clearly trolling the folks demanding Tsukasa and Nasa bang like rabbits, and I’m loving it.
