Spoiler Summary/Synopsis:

Nasa places Tsukasa’s wedding band back on her finger. With their marriage restored, Nasa collapses from the strain of it all. It is then that Tsukasa notices the injuries on Nasa’s person. She scolds him for not taking better care of his precious life. However, she does accept some responsibility for having left him and thus driving him to extremes.

The two kiss, then start making out. Tsukasa stops Nasa because they are in a church, even if a ruined one. Nasa embraces Tsukasa, confessing he thought he’d lost her forever. However, Nasa firmly tells Tsukasa that she cannot do this to him again. He requests that she not just disappear on him. Further, he insists that they discuss problems and work them out.

Tsukasa agrees and the two walk home under the moonlight sky.

Thoughts/Review:

Because it has been so long since I was reading the main storyline, I forgot that rather than be at the bathhouse guesthouse, Nasa and Tsukasa were still at the ruined church. However, Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 148 quickly got me reoriented to things.

Setting Forward

Two important things happened in Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 148. First, Tsukasa scolds Nasa for injuring himself so much. She wants him to take care of himself. Considering he’s mortal (reincarnation not withstanding), his life is but a vapor. And Tsukasa doesn’t want him to lose it in foolishness. So I’m glad she put her foot down there while accepting responsibility for running out on Nasa.

Then we have Nasa setting down some rules for Tsukasa, which I highly approved of. Considering how long she’s been alive, I find her abandoning Nasa reprehensible. Why did she leave? Because he lost so much blood, he couldn’t remember everything about their first encounter. So while I do appreciate her accepting some responsibility in the chapter, I’m glad Nasa laid his foot down and established some ground rules about their relationship.

Story aside, the rules that Nasa laid out apply to any marriage. You don’t just run out simply because something happened that you didn’t like. Tsukasa should have expressed her fears and concerns to Nasa, not left him high and dry, wondering what he’d done wrong (which was nothing). And since Tsukasa has agreed to this, I can now accept the character’s response and not be angry with her any more. 😉

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

In the end, Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 148 provided the final end to the saga, whereby Tsukasa abandoned Nasa. Now that they are back together, I look forward to much more fun and adventures for the two.
