Still Here!
Hey gang! Well, phase 1 of my move is over. It was mostly uneventful, though at the same time, extremely stressful. I thank God that everything went as well as it did. My only hiccup was on the final day of traveling to my brother’s armed fortress (literally), I didn’t pay attention and fell, thanks to a pothole in front of my car at the gas station. My hands, knee, and forehead are almost healed up.
Apparently, moving has caused me to become more clumsy as I sliced my forefinger pretty good while making lunch this week. I’ve never done that before. I’m glad the bleeding has stopped and that finger is healing.
Of course, there’s work. Now that phase 1 is done, I’m deep into the job’s workload. Well, I have spent nearly $20,000 over the last two months due to this move. So I need to recoup some losses. So that has meant no time for anime or manga. (Not that I have my big, new PC to do anything with.) Plus, since I’m with my brother’s family, I end up spending evenings with them. However, I am planning on doing some more blog stuff soon, Lord willing.
Anyway, that’s all I have. Fun, exciting, and scary times are ahead of me while I wait for my old house to sell, and my new house to be built.
Oh, so you’re stuck in the “sell my house” hell too? We’re moving to Orlando next month, but this one just isn’t moving as yet. Frustrating to say the least.
Hey! I’m not in “hell” yet as my house only went on the market this week. But I moved out so that nearly $6K of work could be done on the place. It is getting traffic, but no offers yet. And my new place is under construction. I’m praying my old house sells before the new one is finished so I don’t have to take an outrageous mortgage.
Yeah, I hope you have better luck than us. We’ve done all these upgrades, it’s a wonderful house, but all we seem to hear is “But it doesn’t have a garage/basement!!!” We’re going ahead with the move before it gets cold. I have to believe someone will fall in love with it eventually.
As a wise man said, “Times are rough, oh I’ve got too much stuff!”
Haha! I hear you on the “too much stuff” aspect. I ran out of time getting rid of stuff before the packers came. Good luck with the sale!
