I’m sure most everyone knows that Slayers has been given a green light for a 5th TV series (or a 2nd season of Slayers REVOLUTION, depending on how things ultimately play out since Megumi-san (Lina Inverse) has stated that there will likely be a new OP/ED for the new season).
Still, this answers one question many Slayers fans had — why only 13 episodes were being revealed for Slayers REVOLUTION when the other TV series all had 26 episodes?
Personally, I like the idea of having 13-episode TV series providing they are well done. The previous TV series all had filler-bridges between the first 13-episodes and the second 13-episodes. While Slayers REVOLUTION certain contained some filler, I think that separating it out as a new series will make those introduction filler moments easier to swallow.
While anecdotal information from my blog stats would suggest at least a moderately strong interest in this latest Slayers adventure, I hear rumors out of Japan that the ratings have fallen off for Slayers REVOLUTION as time has gone on. Even if that is the case, apparently the sponsors feel that there’s something worth creating a new season/series and I for one am glad. I’ve been pleased with this latest Slayers outing and hope to see a lot more.

cool blog
The ratings have fallen? How badly? I really want this series to succeed, Do you have a ratings website?
As I said, I read something on another site that was unsourced, thus my use of the term “rumors.” ^_~ I’m notoriously bad about reading things and then forgetting where the heck I read them at (normally because I stumble into them). If I can find it, I’ll post a link. However, if someone else has a link to some information, I’ll take it. ^_^
