No Negima! Spoilers Again?

I’ve kept an eye open but no Negima! 267 spoilers thus far though some have asked about them. We may get some later but considering how none were released last week, I’m not sure we’ll get any more. There’ve been a few different spoiler image posters out there and most have gone it seems. We’ll see if someone steps up to the plate. There’s speculation in Japan that we may have another week without spoilers being posted though.

If they don’t show up, I’m guessing someone will do an early post of the whole manga, which I expect Kodansha to try to shut down eventually. ^_^;;; If they do show up, I’ll post the spoilers as soon as I can, though for now, I’m going to bed. *_*

I can understand them getting upset about early posting of the whole raws, because that could drop their sales. But personally, I think they’d be shooting themselves in the foot to go after spoiler posters – spoilers only build or maintain interest in seeing the whole thing.

It’s too early to say whether we’ll see spoilers again. It might just be a rippling chill effect that’ll dissipate. But if the publishers really did get so pissed at the whole-raw posters that they spent a lot of time and money on some scheme to catch the leakers… I think it’s likely that, rather than using discretion, they fired anyone they caught who posted anything at all. You know, the good old “I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit; it’s the only way to be sure.”

I always figured the spoilers came from someone on the retail level who had the magazine early and simply took some snaps. That seemed the safest way to go about doing it. Regardless, no matter what their job, whomever did it may have just decided to stop, may have a new job, or like you say, may have been fired.

Don’t know if they are real cause I can’t read Japanese much, but I saw these marked spoiler.

    新しい攻撃特化型魔法杖が登場

    その名はレイジングハート・エクセリオン!

  4. AstroNerdBoy says:

Yeah, I saw those. If someone who knows Japanese does come by and translate, it will be interesting to see if it is true or not. A lot of these early spoiler texts come out false.

  5. ThE_TemPLaR says:

My approximative translation of the Japanese quote tell me that you’re just quoting something about the “apparition of the Magical Special Forces named Raging Heart Excellion (Spelling ?)”. So, it’s about the manga/anime Magical Lyrical Nanoha.

Well, it’s about magic and plots but not the same type :3.

  6. brightscales says:

I believe that it’s talking about a spell or something.

  7. arimareiji says:

@ThE TemPLaR: You never know, maybe somebody got a really wild hair up their tail and they’re doing an American-style crossover? Of course, we all know how well some of those worked out…

Next crossover, Negima! meets School Days. They’re both about school, right? (^_~)

  8. AstroNerdBoy says:

    Well, context is everything I suppose. ^_^;

    Thanks for the translation help.

@arimareiji — Team Negi vs. Team Nanoha. ^_^

    @ANB
@arimareiji — Team Negi vs. Team Nanoha. ^_^

That’s rather frightening to consider. It would be a good matchup to watch though. Nanoha “The White Devil” Takamachi vs Negi “ME Demon” Springfield… (considering his recent form when he lost it.

Dangit, now I’m doing various matchups in my head from the two teams.

It would be hard to see who would win in a Negi vs Nanoha battle . Nanoha specialises in “befriending” her enemies from middle or long range and her short range techniques are lacking. She does have funnels (lol gundam reference) for defense and offence and Starlight Breaker(also has barrier breaking) would knock Negi out unless he absorbed it. Negi on the other hand specialises in short and middle range offence and has Thunder Spears or Thousand Bolts for long range. Negi also has Magia Areba that could easily allow Negi to go Super Sayan 3 (lol DBZ reference) and pound Nanoha at lightning speed. Though Nanoha has more combat experience than Negi, it more or else a even battle. I support both sides.

By the way Mr.Astro you watched Nanoha? And sorry for fan rant.

  11. arimareiji says:

I’m inclined to take the implicit recommendation and watch Nanoha, but I’m a little wary of the trustworthiness of American nomenclature. Netflix lists “Lyrical Nanoha: Season 1” and “Lyrical Nanoha: A’s” – is that the right order to start watching and/or reading?

  12. AstroNerdBoy says:

@mega-dark — I’ve seen all three of the anime series, including the 4-episode OVA “Triangle Heart,” featuring Nanoha’s older brother and sister that came out before “Nanoha.” ^_^ I even read the bridge manga between “A’s” and “StrikerS.”

@arimareiji — Yep. The order is “Nanoha,” then “Nanoha A’s,” and then “Nanoha StrikerS.”

Regarding power, I have to give the edge to Team Nanoha. She, Fate, and Hayate are all muzzled during “StrikerS” because of their sheer power. Their support team are powerful, but not as experienced as the 19-year old team leads. Well, Hayate’s Wolkenritter have good experience.

For Ala Alba, only Negi has that level of power as Nanoha, Fate, or Hayate. While Ala Alba might take down the rookies of Team Nanoha, getting the Wolkenritter or even Fate, Nanoha, or Hayate would be a tough battle for sure.

As an aside, I did blog “StrikerS” early in the blog’s history. ^_^

    I miss the spoilers. 🙁

For the match-ups: Subaru vs. Kuu Fei – the two rapidly find their little match to be the most fun they’ve had in ages

Setsuna vs. Signum; I honestly have no clue who’d win

Mana vs. Teana; Teana (who, it has been shown, has low self-confidence in her style of combat) is completely caught off-guard by the sheer skill and raw power Mana has in comparison to her

Anya vs. Vita; well, that was over quickly; how many fingers am I holding up, Anya? (“Thursday?”)

Evangeline vs. Hayate; well, there goes the landscape; can’t tell who’s winnin’, though…

  15. AstroNerdBoy says:

    “I miss the spoilers. :-(“

You and a WHOLE lot of other fans both in and out of Japan. *lol*

    “Evangeline vs. Hayate”

Well, if you bring Eva into the mix, then yeah.

  16. Setsuna Lover says:

I heard there’s no chapter next week?

  17. AstroNerdBoy says:

If the 3+1 stuff is still in place, that would be correct. It would also give Akamatsu-sensei extra time to work on a volume cover as well since this is the end of volume 29.

  18. The Curious Fan says:

The RAW is out on raw-paradise and it looks like we find out what happens to Fillius Zect

  19. Michael says:

just in case u haven´t noticed yet:

    raw is out @raw paradise

  20. Nope, no chapter next week. 🙁 Forgot to mention that in my reply to the ch. 266 thread.
