Love Hina Omnibuses Changing Translators (and some Love Hina love)

Love Hina Omnibuses Changing Translators

For those who weren’t aware, Negima! translators Alethea and Athena Nibley (aka: “The Twins”) have taken over the Love Hina project. Since I like the work that the Twins have done, I’m relieved to know that while the original translator may have left, Love Hina should still be treated right.

Plus, this news gave me a chance to make a CHEAP post, since I’m WAY, WAY, WAY behind.Β  I guess the news of Negima! coming to an end really took more out of my sails than I expected.Β  However, I’ll see about trying to get back on track (as work permits), especially since I have the second Love Hina omnibus to review.

So, I had to look at this poster image of the end of Love Hina to remind myself that things ended OK there, so just maybe, things will end OK with Negima! too.

the longer the series is, the longer the ending should be, to be able to tie things out properly. A climax should happen with at least 20 or so chapters to go to tie off character situations, and thats not even including the epilogue.

Sorry to say this, but if you were 3 chapters from the ending of negima and couldnt see it coming, then your in for a diabolical ending, especially for a series THAT long.

    Maybe…..
    At least I hope so…
3 chapter is an extremely abrupt way to end a manga with 350+ chapters…

I have to say, that I NEVER would read a manga by akamatsu again. it feel really bad it feel like all the time reading negima was a waste of time, a line of text at the side of a photograhf saying what happerned next to the word done, is not resolving plot holes, is simple a insult to the reader, i cant understand for what reason you keep introducing plots until the last chapter of the magic world arc, just to skip all an them. we didnt even get a final battle, or exact imformation of nagi or origing of the lifemaker, and then another time skip saying again all of that was resolve. for what i read in varius forums he really pissed off a great number off his fanbase, and that cant be good for your next manga, he passed from one of my favorite mangaka, to the one, i hate whit the rage of thousand suns.

I will be devastated if Negima doesn’t close rope in some last ends. I would love a sequel to explain every little detail, which is what I’ve been rooting for this whole time, but there’s probably a 1/4 chance of that happening, IMO. There’s no way 3 chapters can possibly explain all that. Crossing my fingers for the best. I hope you pull it off Akamatsu.

i thought that negima would last longer to explain certain things like how nagi became the life maker
