灼眼のシャナⅢ(Final)
Shakugan no Shana III (Final) – 16
SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:
As Pheles prepares a spell of some kind, Margery Daw drives herself, Shana, Wilhelmina, Chiara, and Sāle to the Hong Kong International Airport as Wilhelmina reflects on things. They meet Sophie, Rebeca, and Nbh’w there, where the group has a meeting in a first class lounge, where Shana lays out her plan, and they have an item from the Spiral Organ (Rammie). After Shana says why she believes the Serpent’s idea is wrong, Sophie reminds her that all of the Flame Haze in the room have to make their own decision on whether to join Shana. They all agree to join her, save Sophie, who has to return to face the music for her crushing defeat against the Tomogara.
On Seireiden, an excited Dantalion furiously works to repair the Tomogara Hougu fortress in order to get it back into the air. Elsewhere, Yuuji is in the room with the Haridan, which displays Misaki City, telling Bel Peol that this will be the cite above which he’ll create Xanadu. Spiral Organ is there too, as Yuuji needs his help, and the former notices a Hougu that Yuuji carries, which had formerly belonged to the Crimson Lord, Friagne. Dantalion gets Seireiden up in the air, while Shana and company, passing Yuuji’s father at the airport unnoticed, take off for America to enlist Centerhill’s other, powerful Flame Haze companions. Elsewhere, Pheles seems to have found what she wanted with a group of people, apparently hiding from Bel Peol.
Thoughts/Review:
I’m rather confused by what Pheles is doing, other than making an attempt to retrieve Johan. I’m not sure, but it seemed that she targeted three people. What does this have to do with the Hougu she gave Kazumi? I really will hate it if Kazumi is killed.
It was not unexpected that the Flame Haze with Shana would all join her as she appears ready to take the fight back to Yuuji. It will be interesting to see how that goes.
Also, it is not surprising that Yuuji would have his Xanadu creation ceremony done over Misaki City. After all, it has long been a nexus of activity, both in the sheer numbers of Tomogara there, and Flame Haze.
So while an interesting episode, I find there’s not a great deal to discuss as much of this is setup to the next phase of the story. So, I’ll go ahead and watch the next episode.
