UQ Holder Chapter 29 SPOILERS (Update #2- Now with a confirmation image!)

Sadly, there are no SPOILER images from anywhere on UQ Holder chapter 29. I’ll keep my eyes open, of course.  As always, my chapter review should come out on Wednesday.

UQ HOLDER CHAPTER 29 SPOILERS

The only thing I have right now are rumors, which cannot be confirmed until we see see spoiler images to back it up, or the chapter itself.

  • Gravity Blade will be used.
  • Someone is losing a left arm.
  • Someone we fans are familiar with will make a surprise appearance.

The first two items are believable, as is the third. However, there could be any number of characters that could fit this mold.  If this rumor-spoiler is true, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were Tachibana-sensei from the first chapter.

Thanks to Hata for the spoiler text info. ^_^

Again, if more UQ Holder chapter 29 spoilers come out, I’ll update this thread.

UQ Holder Chapter 29 SPOILERS

Update #1: Another rumor spoiler coming from 2CH — the unexpected arrival is Fate.  Thanks to LoneWolfx03 for he alert. ^_^

Update #2: With the raw out, it is confirmed — Fate is the unexpected character who appears.

UQ Holder Chapter 29 SPOILERS

Heh! Well, Fate said he’s only ally with Negi providing Negi’s scheme worked.

  1. ” Someone we fans are familiar with will make a surprise appearance ”

    Damn it ! I cannot wait… !!!! Better be someone from Negima or something !

    But going off topic , I just bought UQ Holder V-1 , Was pretty disappointed that there was no extra content inside such as Character sketches , Kodansha and Akamatsu-sensei used to include those in Negima Volumes , Especially Volume one D:

  2. Dargor says:

    I’ll be surprised if it isn’t someone from 3-A, since otherwise I don’t think it’d warrant a spoiler if its a character we were introduced in UQ Holder. I won’t be surprised if its Chacha or Mana, but the only one I really want to see at this point is Al.

    • I`m probably thinking Karin , But how exactly could she teleport back to earth ? She ain`t Kaede , LOL.

      Kuromarou ? Probably… ? But is that time enough for the whole villagers to evacuate ?

      But really , For now i`m guessing someone from Negima.

      • AstroNerdBoy says:

        I`m probably thinking Karin , But how exactly could she teleport back to earth ? She ain`t Kaede , LOL.

        We haven’t seen all of her talents, so who knows what other skills she has. Heck, a rescue team may have already gone and pulled her from the moon’s surface.

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

      Negima! does seem the obvious choice for a character to be pulled from, but I’m sticking with my prediction in the piece. ^_~

  3. Setsuyume says:

    No, no…someone we’re familiar with. Thats gotta be a Negima character! And I am betting on… Albireo Imma, AKA Curnell Sunders (if he still uses that name lol)!!! Why? 3 reasons, my dearest readers:

    1- His first appearance in this manga and he was on the moon;

    2- That’s where Karin is, and she needs help to come back;

    3- Touta got his gravity blade (and his interest as a consequence). Karin just has to find and comment about this with him, and…voila!

  4. Andarion says:

    [crosses his fingers and begins to pray] Be it Jack Rakan, be it Jack Rakan [he chants quietly] Still imagine the sheer jawdrop from readers and characters alike if he made an appearance…

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

      *lol* That would really be funny if your prediction comes true. ^_^

    • Aki says:

      That’s like asking for negi to appear.

      If the immortal hunters killed negi, kinda pointless bringing in rakan who is on par if not a bit stronger than negi.

      Fate could be an alternative he a magic construct and would be a type of immortal, but again hs power equal to negi and rakan

      • Dargor says:

        Doubt it, those Immortal Hunters were curb stomped by the Lifemakers mooks. The only one that probably had a hand in Negi’s disappearance was the Lifemaker…heaven forbid we get the body hopper reveal the same way we got it for Nagi though.

        • Aki says:

          Chances are that will happen, negi death is to unexplained and unlikely…

          He was holding out fairly well against Eva who was using queen of ice form, if negi pushed her to use magia erebea, it proves he to much of a monster to die and since magia erebea was a creation made for Eva type of immortal body, there a good chance negi possess a very potent form of immortality. The question is what happen during 2065 during the supposed period of negi death and the fight against MoB

          • Dargor says:

            Eva wasn’t going all out during that fight though, and even then she had Negi on the ropes all throughout until Asuna jumped in. Hell, Eva only used her Armationem on a whim with no other desire then to make it a ME fight for the sake of itself. She outgrew the style due to its own innate impracticality (Which only Negi managed to make useful) and the fact that she flat out doesn’t need it.

        • Aki says:

          Well I didn’t mention her going serious but negi did push the already powerful Eva who was taking it easy to step it up a notch and initiate magia erebea which is an incredible feat

          • True , During that final fight with Evangeline , It would seem that Negi has alot more to learn , He still couldn`t surpass her at that time , But managed to tick her off just a little bit , Til Negi sneezed.

  5. LoneWolfx03 -]===- says:

    I want Mana! *throws my fist in the air*

  6. LoneWolfx03 -]===- says:

    It’s Fate, FATE!!!!! :O

  7. david_sousa says:

    Raw is out and damn that cliffchanger

  8. WTF ! I knew it ! This must be Timeline B !

    Where Negi said in the voice recording that he was worrying about something that fate was ” right “

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

      I can’t look at the chapter now, but is “B” the Chao timeline or what? I just need a reminder. ^_^;

      • Dargor says:

        Sealed Asuna. Chao is, again, Mundus Magicus imploding and forcing the human residents migrating to earth, sparking the conflict. In this case, its earths actual residents returning from whatever nonsense was going on and trying to kick out the squatters.

        • AstroNerdBoy says:

          Ah. That’s what I thought, but I wasn’t sure if it my be the Chao one. (Man, love the ability to remote-do comments when needed.)

  9. Togu says:

    What if Touta is a Part or the reincanation of the Mage of the Beginning?

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

      That would surprise me.

      • Togu says:

        But It would be possible.
        As much as I know MotB could use ME because he made it. Touta can use it, too.
        Touta is likely overpowered, such is the MotB.

        In the past the MotB was posessing humans. So maybe Negi &Co. just sealed him in another body.

        • AstroNerdBoy says:

          In the past the MotB was posessing humans.

          I’m not sold on that theory, but we’ll see how things play out.

          In the meantime, did MotB make ME? I thought Eva developed that technique because of her need to defend herself before she became so insanely strong. ^_^;

  10. OverMaster says:

    Are we sure this is actually Fate and not another unexplainable unrelated complete lookalike like Jinbei?

    It’d have been better bringing some character who actually deserved some expansion and development, like the Master of the Graves or Poyo, to play this role. Fate was one of the few Negima characters we already had seen basically everything there was to know. Hopefully at least Dragon Girl (Tamaki?) will still be around, if she’s as long lived as most fictional dragons are.

    Besides, Fate as the Big Boss is kinda underwhelming, when the other side has Evangeline, who can defeat four Fates AND additional forces at once with a single spell.

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

      Are we sure this is actually Fate and not another unexplainable unrelated complete lookalike like Jinbei?

      I suppose it could be someone new, but I suspect it is Fate.

      Besides, Fate as the Big Boss is kinda underwhelming, when the other side has Evangeline, who can defeat four Fates AND additional forces at once with a single spell.

      I don’t mind Fate being the Big Boss here, mainly because his alliance with Negi was conditional. Since those conditions have failed, Fate doing his own thing makes sense to me.

      As to him vs. Eva, he has the ability to grow in power and skill, so I wouldn’t count on Eva being able to just easily overcome him. When he fled from Eva in their first encounter at Kyoto, it was more out of a fight not being in his best interests.

      Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing an all out fight between Fate and Eva. ^_^

      • Dargor says:

        Fates condition wasn’t about ensuring worldly prosperity though, it was to Negi ]on track so that he could save the Magical World. Unless there is something wrong with the current set up, its out of character for him to get involved in some political machinations and proceed to burn down entire slums because reasons. This is the same Fate that ran around area’s just like it picking up orphans and sending them to school. Either this is a different Averunncus, or Fate when off the deep end for whatever reason.

        • AstroNerdBoy says:

          I suspect that assuming this is Fate from Negima, he has decided that for whatever reason, everything has failed and things went south from there. So I could believe him going off the deep end.

  11. Aki says:

    Ha I was right, fate would make a logical choice since he is a magical construct and would be a type of immortal. Not to mention his powers rivals that of negi’s

    The image kinda of makes him look like a member of powerful hand, or he might be on the other side in Cosmo entelecheia base, his condition for helping negi was that to prevent the complete collapse of the magical world they will try negi terraforming plan, however should anything happen he will go back to erasing people.

    We know the plan succeeded, but there were wars and the Mage of beginning who was being hunted in 2065. Negi unexpected death would lead to fate to break off from the gang though fate has noted negi does have the potential to be the boss of an evil corporation .

    Pretty much now uq holder is heading back towards negima, I suppose there was to much critical response on his end and rather sudden restart with continuation. So this series is centred on what happen to negi Springfield in the same way negima was on what happen to nagi Springfield

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

      So this series is centred on what happen to negi Springfield in the same way negima was on what happen to nagi Springfield

      Heh. That’s very true.

      BTW, my chapter review goes up today. ^_^
