SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

Lonely, American idol Lilia comes to Japan and begins buying up all of the time slots on TV, causing the shows done by Tsukasa, Komugi, and Kokona to be canceled. There Buri Buri anime promotion at Shitamachi Edo Mansion theme park is canceled after Lilia buys out the anime’s time slot for a promotion with the theme park. Komugi decides they should take advantage of the time off and enjoy the park, so the girls accept, but Yuuta and the rest of their team pass. As they begin their park fun, Komugi spots a girl with a surgical mask on and shade. She’s lost, but when they find out this is Lilia, Komugi invites her to spend time with them and have fun, which she does.

Lilia is happy the others consider her a friend, and she keeps in touch with the girls even as her star rises. Lilia gets the girls to come to her first concert, telling them that she’ll be performing next at Tokyo Skydome. Meanwhile, Usa-P, Tanu-P, and Neko-P are on a bus, returning from a trip to Fanta-C World, when they sense a monster. Getting off the bus, they find a defeated monster, then get beaten themselves, having their Fan-C cards stolen. Back at the concert, Lilia appears on stage as if in a trance, but then soon gets into the swing of things.

Thoughts/Review:

Yeah, yeah, Lilia is the final boss.

Lilia is a cliched character, being lonely and subsequently being used, no doubt by Kumami, her patched bear plushie. Since the girls befriended her in this episode, this will no doubt play into her overcoming the evil.

As to the girls, I expected maybe Kokona or Tsukasa would have a bit of resentment toward Lilia for basically taking all of their work, but surprisingly, they were OK with Lilia. But then if I’m right about the plot for the next episode, this is no doubt the reason the writers made them this way.

As for Komugi, her being a mindless, cheerful optimist regarding Lilia was not unexpected since that’s her normal modus operandi.

With there being only one more episode, it doesn’t seem like Tsukasa will get a resolution to her love storyline with Yuuta, unless that somehow comes into play. I kinda hope it does as I’d like to see a resolution there and Tsukasa be revealed to be the girl she wants to be.

In the end, nothing special here as the story is pretty much by the numbers to set up the character the others would never suspect of being the final boss.
