Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 - 11

Eriko’s bloodlust thrills Christina as they battle. Meanwhile, everyone in Landosol are fleeing the Shadow armies. Kokkoro gets pulled into Ameth’s realm. She gives Kokkoro a key to help control Yuuki’s Princess Knight powers, lest they go out of control.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 - 11

In front of the palace, Pecorine is forced to fight a controlled Jun. Pecorine takes damage from Jun as Mana tortured Karyl. Below the palace, Christina has defeated Eriko, Nanaka, and Mitsuki. She’s about to kill Eriko when Twilight Caravan member Anna and leader Ruka stop her. Anna is able to create an opening so Ruka can land a powerful blow. However, Christina’s Seven Crown ability protects her.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 - 11

To Christina’s horror, Eriko has made her way to the pod holding Metamorregnant. She swipes it with her axe, but a one-eyed Mana emerges from the giant flower.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 - 11

Back in front of the palace, Pecorine defeats Jun. In doing so, she breaks Mana’s hold on Jun, who immediately swears allegiance to her rightful princess. Mana becomes enraged, so Jun and Pecorine battle her, eventually defeating her. Pecorine saves Karyl. However, they discover that Mana was in fact a Shadow. The real Kaiser Insight appears. She instantly defeats Jun, Pecorine, and Karyl.

Thoughts/Review:

It figures that with as good an episode as Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 – 11 was, CygamesPictures would run out of money and have rubbish art and animation.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 - 11

Twilight Caravan

We were introduced to the Twilight Caravan guild in episode 5 of the first season. We were only introduced to members Eriko, Nanaka, and Mitsuki, and the episode was quite comedic in nature, with Eriko stealing the show. And while they have had a cameo in this season, it was great seeing the full guild in Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 – 11.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 - 11

Once again, Eriko steals the show. Before it may have all been for laughs. Now, it is pure, crazed, bloodlust. She responds to Christina’s desperate desire for battle and entertainment. And she even gets Christina to respond, even though as a Seven Crown member, Christina is operating on another level. While Eriko may be insane on some level, she’s sane enough to save her guildmate from a death blow. And she was sane enough to carry out the rescue plan.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 - 11

Anna and guild leader Ruka were the members of Twilight Caravan we had not previously seen. While Eriko may have given Christina a bit of entertainment, it was Ruka who actually landed a blow on Christina. Not that this mattered as Christina defeated both of them as well.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 - 11

I did see Eriko slice the pod Metamorregnant was in. However, I don’t know if she actually did anything. And considering the real Kaiser Insight emerged from her slumber and appeared outside the palace, I’m guessing Twilight Caravan are done. Possibly Christina as well.

Pecorine vs Jun vs Mana

The fight between Pecorine and June in Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 – 11 wasn’t as epic as Eriko’s fight with Christina. But that’s to be expected since Pecorine was holding back. And in the end, I was surprised to see Pecorine win. Why? ‘Cause I figured the writers would have Pecorine fall so that (1) she can be tortured by Mana and (2) it would cause Karyl to do something. I’m glad I was wrong.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 - 11

I liked seeing Jun and Pecorine working together to defeat Mana. Granted, it was Pecorine who killed Mana. But then Mana was only a Shadow. And when the real Mana (Kaiser Insight) showed up, Jun, Pecorine, and Karyl were instantly defeated. We’ll see what happens now that Yuuki has arrived.

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

It is 2am as I write, and I need to get my review wrapped up for Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 – 11.

  • The one bit of comedy came from the girls of Little Lyrical, summoning that giant bird, which killed a boss Shadow.
  • I’m not sure if Christina is “controlled” (or influenced) by Kaiser Insight. She does appear to refer to Mana as her queen. Maybe Christina is just looking to fight Kaiser Insight.
  • Interesting that Ameth pulled Kokkoro to her realm. I do wonder why Ameth still has not repaired the “gear” she wears.
  • I’d been thinking that Mana was using Metamorregnant’s powers to create a duplicate of herself. But it seems I was wrong as Mana was merely a Shadow with Mana’s memories and even powers.
  • What is the Twilight City that Eriko wanted info on as payment?

Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 - 11

In the end, Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 – 11 was an entertaining, interesting, battle-packed episode. The only downside was the painfully obvious fact that CygamesPictures ran out of money. But hopefully, that’s fixed in the BluRay release.
