Cert Issue

Cert Issue

Ugh. Looks like my website certificate failed to auto-update and so the site gets ultra scary warnings like this.

I’m not selling anything on the site and other than me, no one can log in. So I don’t even bloody know why I need a cert, other than it is a racket to get me to spend more money. And I swear, at times like these, I sometimes think, “Why am I doing this blog rubbish for? It costs me money, and it is only an ego trip, right?”

Anyway, for the few of you going past the scary alerts, I have a ticket opened with my hosting company. It got put into the Billing queue. Not sure when that will get answered; probably tomorrow morning at the earliest.

Update: KnownHost fixed the issue and I do have a “free” cert as part of my plan.

You can skip to the end and leave a response. Pinging is currently not allowed.

  1. Have you done your updates lately?
In Linux certificates are updated when needed.
If you are running MacOS or Windows then I
    don’t know about those.

Well, I had to buy cPanel certs sometime back, and they were set to auto-renew. But that didn’t happen and when I attempt to manually renew them, it isn’t allowing me. Thus the ticket with KnownHost to see how to get this resolved.
