Spoiler Summary/Synopsis:

After hearing about Nasa’s upcoming date with Tsukasa, Jessie complains to her friends about their lack of a dating situation. She feels that Mishio and Haru will have an easier time getting guys since they are cute. However, Jessie states that since she and Hakase aren’t like that, they have a smaller window to get a guy. Haru suggests using a dating app, but Jessie finds that unwholesome.

Mishio prompts Jessie to describe her ideal guy. Based on what she says, the girls determine that Nasa is Jessie’s ideal guy. Jessie denies this, but does concede Nasa checks off all her boxes. They discuss his marriage to Tsukasa and the aura she gives off.

Meanwhile, Nasa and Tsukasa arrive at the base of Tokyo Tower. Tsukasa surprises Nasa by stating she’s never been to the tower, as she lived in America when it was built. However, she did go to the Eiffel Tower after it was built in France in 1887. That aside, Tsukasa spouts off her knowledge of attractions inside Tokyo Tower. Nasa reveals that the aquarium and torture exhibits are long gone. Despite this, Tsukasa is happy her first memory of Tokyo Tower will be with Nasa.

Thoughts/Review:

We get to see the return of Nasa’s students again in Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 237. Back when they were all trying to visit the hidden village, some of them just “vanished” and nothing was said of how they got off the mountain or anything. But it has been a while since Jessie or Mishio have been around, so it was nice seeing them again. Beyond that, their part in the story was just some filler so they could have girl talk and set up the bit for Nasa and Tsukasa.

As to our married couple, we did get confirmation that Tsukasa had never been to the tower. It makes sense that she wouldn’t have been there for the construction. But when she came back to Japan, it is kinda surprising she didn’t visit on her own. Then again, she became quite the recluse except for the night she met Nasa.

Other than that, it was interesting to see what kind of exhibits used to be at Tokyo Tower. If I ever get back to Japan, I think I’d like to visit it.

Final Thoughts and Conslusion

In the end, Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 237 is a bit of harmless fluff with four of Nasa’s students, followed by some setup to get Nasa and Tsukasa into the tower. I suppose next up is the fated reveals from Asimo and Himari.
