Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 107 Manga Review

SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

As Selene and Ignia battle in dragon form, Suzaku and an excited Natsu show up. As the two exchange massive attacks, Natsu has a memory of Acnologia defeating his adopted, dragon father Igneel. To that end, Natsu screams for the dragons to stop. They pause, curious about Natsu’s plea. However, Ignia finds Natsu’s thoughts foolish and sends an attack through Selene’s chest.

Thoughts/Review:

There were 20 pages (counting the splash page) in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 107. However, it was mostly geared to the two dragons fighting. I’m sure if there’s an anime adaptation, if done right, this will look cool.

That aside, I didn’t expect for Selene to take an apparent, fatal blow with this chapter. My thoughts were that she would eventually sacrifice herself after heavily wounding Ignia. While she landed massive, damaging attacks on him, it wasn’t to the point to where Natsu and Suzaku could take Ignia. But maybe I’m wrong.

There’s always a chance (and a good one now that I think of it) that Selene survives somehow. Mashima-sensei doesn’t like to actually kill characters, so we’ll see. However, I can’t think of an arse-pull Mashima-sensei could use to save her.

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

In the end, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 107 is just a big old dragon fight. And I’m cool with that.
