Keroro Gunsou Episode 138
ケロロ軍曹/Sgt. Frog Anime Review
SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:
After Fuyuki reminds Keroro that his platoon hasn’t done a new invasion plan for a while, the shamed Keroro calls a platoon meeting. However, they cannot come up with anything. After the platoon goes through a bunch of unintentional hijinks that cause Fuyuki to laugh. As such, they decide to put on a show for kids that will lead to profits. The show doesn’t go as planned, leading to an enraged Natsumi arriving and accidentally becoming the star of the show.
Meanwhile, during the show, the member of the KGS Newspaper Club gather evidence on the aliens. However, Natsumi’s rampage blows them out of the area. Chiruyo leaves her diary behind. Keroro finds it and is offended by her observations. Fuyuki finds the diary and attempts to return it. Instead, the two are teleported to an alien planet filled with monsters. Keroro, Dororo, and Tamama plan to show up and “rescue” them. However, when an image of Natsumi and Giroro show up, collecting sweet potatoes, the jig is up, revealing to be a simulation. As a result, Chiruyo promises to protect Fuyuki’s secret.
Thoughts/Review:
Two rather mid stories in Keroro Gunsou Episode 138. The first story is very much rooted in Japanese culture with the kid show, featuring people in costume, acting out some scenario. It is the same old, same old. And predictably, Natsumi rampages on the platoon for shirking their work, thus becoming a hero to the kids. No doubt, I’ll have forgotten the story by tomorrow.
For the second story, I didn’t remember the KGS club. Apparently, they show up in episode 97. That aside, Chiruyo is a discount Momoka in my opinion. She has a crush on Fuyuki and so will do anything to protect him and give him cover from her clubmates. It is mildly touching, but I’m sure I’ll have forgotten this one too by tomorrow. 😅
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
In the end, Keroro Gunsou Episode 138 just has a couple of mid stories. Obviously, I’m too old for the series, but since I’ve done this off and on for all these years, I figure I may as well press on. 😂
