School Rumble Z Chapter 07 Manga Review

SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

Karasuma and Tenma go on a date to the Tokyo Dome to hear Lala in concert when Napoleon (Harima’s pig) arrives to tell him of a space monster attacking. Karasuma excuses himself, leaving Tenma to call Yakumo to come to the concert. Karasuma becomes the giant “Karasuman” and attacks this giant turtle-dragon monster. The monster becomes one with the Tokyo Dome and the people inside simply attribute the shaking and other things as effects of Lala singing. Karasuman peaks inside a crack in the dome but only Yakumo sees what’s going on. Karasuman defeats the monster and flies away with everyone inside still attributing everything to Lala’s excellent concert.

Review/Thoughts:

Hmmmm.

Yeah.

Well…hmmmmm.

OK, I know this is a parody bit but for me, it wasn’t funny nor interesting. This may be a case where Kobayashi-sensei thought this would be a funny thing and maybe to the Japanese, it was. However, I tend to suspect that even in Japan, this may have been a “meh” chapter.
