No Negima! 280 This Week

No Negima! 280 This Week

Just to remind you guys, Negima! is on a break this week so chapter 280 won’t be around.

In honor of Jack’s passage, I found an image on my HD from some collector who shared their Jack Rakan pactio card (and forgive me for not knowing who’s bought this card and shared it).

In going through my HD, I found a blurry image with the Mahora Library as the background.

Anyone have a better quality version (or even a complete version should this one be incomplete)? If so, let me know as I’d like to score it. ^_^

Im still super bummed Rakan is gone, makes me miss him so much theres no doubt if people will come back Rakan must, to me he was the best character in Negima. Everything about Rakan was amazing from his skill to his funny skirt flipping and words of wisdom. Rakan is truly a hero of heros and will be missed by everyone.

Yeah, but with Jack gone, Negi now has to stand on his own for the most part. In fact, that seems to be a reason for the characters like Craig, Aisha, Emily, etc. to exit so that Nodoka, Yue, etc. stand on their own feet.

I’ve never seen that image with Asuna before.

Sighss…another break? Maybe it’s because of Chinese New Year? I wonder when we’ll see Asuna and Anya again…maybe in a few chapters. Anyway, wouldn’t it be interesting if Asuna turned evil and had to fight Negi. It would sorta be like Negima?! Neo. I can’t wait for the next chapter…. TT_TT

I think this was the normal, scheduled break.

My thought is that the entire object that Akamatsu is building the MW arc up into is the power of one’s own will.

We see in the later MW arc chapters that Rakan can break illusions simply by the force of his will, then later Negi creates a pactio with robo-Chachamaru through the power of his will and magic, the idea being that willpower, when manifested in magic or physical prowess, can overcome nearly any obstacle.

In Rakan’s death, we see that even though he is an illusionary being, the force of his will allows him to hang on, give a final few punches, and say some words to his beloved student (did anyone else get the impression Rakan had secretly taken on the role of a father in his own mind there at the end?).

I could see the magical arc ending with Negi using the magical power that created the MW on mars and his newfound willpower and confidence after overcoming the Mage of the Beginning to give real life to the illusionary humans he and the Mahora gang came to love.

    ….but that’s just a theory.

Oh god please speak no more about the live action adaption. That was just KA’s excuse to hang out with teenage girls and have them make out.
