Happy Thanksgiving (with “A Certain Scientific Railgun”)

I’d like to wish those in the U.S. a very happy Thanksgiving. ^_^ Hopefully, you aren’t like me and stuck at work, away from friends, family, and Skyrim. ^_~

Since I just read volume 1 of the manga (written by the author of the light novels, as I understand it), I thought I’d share an image from the A Certain Scientific Railgun franchise.  With so many images I’ve seen having the ponytail girl going mad yuri for her “oneesama,” I guess I didn’t know what to expect when I read the manga but what I read wasn’t what I expected.  But, more on that when I write the review.

A Certain Scientific Railgun

I’m curious if I should watch the anime or not.  I’m also curious about watching the parent anime.

Update: Someone pointed me at this Nico Nico Douga video on YouTube, which amused me so I’m sharing it too.  Looks like the humor of the anime all centers around Kuroko’s lesbian obsession with her “oneesama” roommate Mokoto.

I’m thankful for this anime filled with awesome action and one super ecchi lolita. Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes! Watch Railgun and Index. They’re very entertaining shows with a diverse cast of characters.

It should be noted that Index is more violent than Railgun…

Thankful for all the great anime coming out this season that I ahaven’t watched yet. Also, Railgun was awesome. I highly recommend it and its’ sister series, Index.

As far as A Certain Magical Index goes, the anime does not do the light novels justice. I haven’t read the manga, but the anime starts out very action packed and dramatic but slowly turns into a very ecchi harem anime with action here and there. If it wasn’t for the character Accelerator, I wouldn’t have watched the 2nd season. Check out both manga, for sure, and definitely the light novels if you can get your hands on them (and read Japanese; I don’t think they’ve been translated in anything else yet).

Just a small correction. The anime is not the ‘parent’ in the relationship. The manga came first and the anime is the adaption.

Also, it is important to note that, while many love the anime, it has a fairly different tone an focus then the manga.

He said the anime *and* the parent anime, so I think he was talking about Index.

Well, I am looking into scoring Railgun and am still pondering Index.

Anime-wise, I get the feeling that Railgun is mostly a comedy series.

    Noted. ^_^

I’m still working on the review of the first Railgun manga, but supposedly, it is based off the light novels and it is written by the creator of the light novels. Not sure why Index wasn’t licensed as it too was written by the creator of the light novels.

That’s the sense I got out of the first manga volume of Railgun.

    Yep. ^_^

Well, i`m a bit late, but I will still offer my 2 cents…

I sincerely don´t know why someone would dislike Index or Railgun, in any os their forms (though class A fans are somewhat a puzzle to me), so i`m pro the idea that you give it a try…

Slice of life + Cool action, are a given these days…

    see ya
