Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 92 Manga Review

Note: Since I enjoyed the Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime adaptation, which went through chapter 91 of the manga, I thought I’d like to chapter review the manga series. After all, there’s no telling when the next anime adaptation will get announced, if at all.

SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

Team Natsu report back to human mage turned dragon, Elefseria. He shows them the stele on the wall that depicts the give dragon gods. He is very pleased that Mercphobia and Aldoron have been sealed. Team Natsu inform him about Diabolo’s interference preventing them from removing Selene. They were surprised Diabolos didn’t sign up for the quest.

Elefseria gives a history of Diabolos and its (former) Master, Georg. So while Diabolos know the details of the quest, Elefseria has allowed them to continue since the goal is to get the five dragon gods sealed. His intelligent crow, Shade, shows up with supplies and news that Diabolos have invaded the Great Labyrinth. This news horrifies Elefseria since a sixth dragon god is sleeping there.

Thoughts/Review:

So, a couple of items of note in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 92. First is that we get to see the other members of Diabolos for the first time. I couldn’t help but laugh since their introduction is in the usual, Mashima-sensei way. And apparently, these three new characters are cool with Selene killing Georg and taking over.

The other item of note is that Mashima-sensei suddenly pulls a sixth dragon god out of his rear for this fight. If there are five dragon gods, there can’t be a sixth one in this labyrinth. So I’ve no clue what kind of nonsense is going on here. I suspect some “clever” play on words to get around the fact that there were five.

As to the rest of the chapter, naturally there’s a gag involving Lucy’s “huge tracks of land.” And the crow, Shade, seems kinda amusing.

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

In the end, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 92 gets the next phase of the story going. However, rather than deal with Selene, a new fight with Diabolos seems to be on the horizon.
