No New “Hayate the Combat Butler” Chapter This Week

Hey gang! Just a reminder that because Weekly Shounen Sunday is on a break this week, there’s not going to be a new Hayate the Combat Butler (Hayate no Gotoku) chapter for January 1, 2014. Hayate the Combat Butler returns on January 8 2014. ^_^

As such, I thought I’d just share an image from the franchise.

Hayate the Combat Butler

Ah, nice and wintery! ^_^

I love the character designs from back them. I don’t think any of the girls in manga look that good any more. Oh well.

In the meantime, does anyone want to bet on whether or not we return to plot on January 8?  I’m going to go out on a limb and say that we’ll have plot.  ^_^

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Mine is busier than busy, so I doubt I’ll even have time to continue correcting post-migration images/articles in the new blog. I’ll get done what I get done. ^_^

I’m betting that we’ll return to the plot too. No particular reason except a gut feeling that I have. One thing I’ve noticed about the current art style is that it’s a lot more streamlined and less detailed compared to the old ones. Might also be due to Hata moving to digital drawing instead of manual drawing and inking. (I can tell by the ink bleeds in some of the older chapters)

Less detail also means quicker production time. I think that’s why Hata-sensei’s character designs are the way they are.

  2. Testing…looks like it works on the default with some visual for the two options.

  3. Doing test two back on the Anime Zone theme.
